Is there room in our heart this Christmas?
Is the Savior abiding there?
Are we full of the joy of His Spirit
Or has the Spirit been quenched by much care?
Has our heart become busy like Bethlehem
Filled with travelers jammed everywhere?
Is there room in our heart this Christmas
Is the Savior abiding there?
Have we given the best we could offer
or just a place in the back somewhere?
Is there room in our hearts this Christmas
Is the Savior abiding there?
Are we living the mystery of Christmas
Do our lives prove the story is true?
Have we tasted the same joy of Mary
Jesus Christ formed in me and in you?
Is God Incarnate our own testimony
or just a fact from our theology?
Are we living the mystery of Christmas
Is Lord Jesus incarnate in me?
Has the Spirit come on us in power
The greatest birth in all earth's history
Are we living the mystery of Christmas
Jesus Christ formed in you and in me
We still sing Glory to God in the highest
Peace on earth and goodwill to all men
But the message will lose all its meaning
Unless His glory is what we're living in
This is why we all have a high calling
To live lives worthy of this mystery
For men won't see the true glory in Christmas
'Till they see Jesus shining through me
So my simple prayer for us this Christmas
Is just a cry for this reality
God Incarnate not just celebrated
But still living and reigning in me
