DAILY LIGHT - DECEMBER 26 MORNING

Be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.

Ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. — As ye have ... received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. — He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. — That on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

By faith ye stand.

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

He that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.--1 Cor. 15:58

See that ye turn not aside through the waywardness of your own hearts. Let there be a fixity of purpose, a decision of character, which shall keep you in the same course and with the same definite aim. Many there are who lack this characteristic. They are earnest and zealous for a while, and then seek another object of pursuit. They love change, and never continue long in the same course. Be ye "unmoveable"; that is, when pressure comes on you from without. You may have no desire to turn aside. You may seek to keep before you the one and the same glorious purpose, "for to me to live is Christ." And yet, because of the influence of others, you are continually being hindered, and are often turned aside. "None of these things move me," said the apostle, when threatened by the prospect of suffering, and warned against pursuing his course. It is this decision of heart, and courage of faith, that are so essential, if we would always abound in the work of the Lord.

God has really been very pointed with me about some things that have not (until today) even seemed bad at all:

They aren't,
but they are a distraction away from Him
(so they are bad for me at least).

See, prayers have been and are for much deeper intimacy with Him and He's answering very direct. Though these small things are of little or no significance here, they are distraction/interference none the less.
