Replacing Bad Media with Good Media!

I work in a christian bookshop, I also find it interesting to direct people to good resources if they have bad resources!
Say they want a Joyce Meyer book, I would try to direct them to say something a bit more sound!
I was trying to think of Good Books to direct people in every section.
Here are the sections

What would you direct people to ,if you had your own christian bookshop, what books would you have in each section? I have been trying to direct People from say Rob Bell, Joyce Meyer, The Shack to good books. The best christian publishers are publishers like Day One and Banner of Truth!
The reason I have been thinking of this, is that when I was going through a time of suffering people would give me books such as Rick Warren and John Ortberg,Henry Townsend I started to go to the Christian Classics such as John Bunyan, A W Tozer, R A Torrey, D L Moody, Others.
Which made those books look like rubbish!
What books do you give people who are say new christian other than say Alpha Course books? Could you come up with good books in every category!
New Christians I would tend to direct them to C S Lewis!

I have also been struggling with my parents addiction to films as I it seems I listen to sermons and they watch films and I love listening to my Bible and christian Music.
I just seem extremely lonely sometimes! I have church but it is a long way to go! I have prayed for my parents to question the media they watch but I am hoping god will have a breakthrough I am wanting to find some books that will make the rubbish from films seem rubbish! I have a hunger and thirst for Jesus. Some of the conferences I go to have good books!

What books give you a deeper hunger and thirst for Jesus and to know more about him? Could you give books for every category? I will also vet the books to see if they are good or not!

Deltadom, do you have a christian poetry section in your shop. I believe that many who are poetry lovers are real seekers for something more real in their lives. George Herbert shines out above them all and was a great comfort to me in my seeking after God. Also there's Henry Vaughan and a whole lot of Milton.

I hear you cry about your parents, but unless they know the Lord for themselves, they will carry on worshipping their idols (films). When He comes, all these "things" just drop away.

I ditto this! Exactly what I was thinking for Fiction :)
The Losing and taking again of the Town of Man-soul is today called The Holy War there is also a book I am reading now by Bunyan called The Life and Death of Mr.Badman same concept of Pilgrims Progress but the person doesn't go to heaven but hell. I would highly recommend these books to New Christians as well but would suggest purchasing the Modern English Version!
