WESTERLO -- Coming soon to a mailbox near you: Jesus.Along with all those unsolicited holiday catalogs, 19,001 homes in the Capital Region will receive DVD copies of "Jesus" -- a 1979 Hollywood film depiction of the Christian savior's life.The mass evangelical effort of the G-rated film will target churches and homes throughout Albany, Greene and Schenectady counties, from Gallupville to Cairo. The local distribution comes from a national organization in California, the Jesus Video Project America, a group established in 1992 with the goal of distributing the Warner Bros. film to every home in America."This is not at the expense of any other ministry," said James DeForest, a congregant assisting with fund raising. "This is something that would augment other aspects of ministry."
