Avoiding false Judgment and discerning The Voice Of God

bakary Jan 26, 2011

in the natural there are many things which can make us suspicious and in many cases we misjudge things. That is why the Lord told us not to judge that is to say out of our natural understanding in things which are beyond any practical proof. The Lord in us should be our judge , that is his spirit within. For the spirit of God seaches the deep things and reveal them to his children. There are some situations he will not reveal to us and we need to forget that when he is quite. The spirit of God is the greatest teacher and Jesus told us it will guide us in Truth, and reveal to us the mysteries in the scriptures. So be prayerful in the spirit and daily ask God to increase your spiritual understanding in sensitivity to the leadership of the holyspirit. Sometimes God do speak in dream and vission and if you desire more he will guide you to know when satan is speaking to you. Because you are a believer does not mean satan will not try to speak to you, but the Lord will help you discern his voice .If the sheep know the voice of the master, they will flee from the voice of the thief. The Lord desire is for you to know his voice more which will guide you in righteousness and holiness. It takes patience, praying always with occasional fasting and obedience to what God is commanding you to do. The begining of working with the eternal wisdom of the divine, is the fear of God. FEAR HIM.

In addition, we also need to heed the scriptures.

1 John 4v1, 'Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.'

Also, we read in Hebrews 5v14 that using discernment is a sign of maturity, because the discernment has been used.

If the 'voice' we hear violates scripture, then, we must know it is not of God.

God bless.

Amen, Enid. The scriptures were wrtten by that same spirit and how can God contradict himself expect when we out of our natural understanding see it that way. Like in the case of peter when commanded to eat the unclean animals , his interpretation was wrong but the spirit was not contradicting himself never. You see the pharises saw a contradiction with the lord because they judge from the natural realm . They have not the spirit. Spritual are spritual and reveal by the spirit. And none can really confess jesus is lord without the spirit. He that has not the spirit of christ is none of his. If we walk in the spirit we will not fullfill the desires of the sinful nature.

By their fruits you shall know them, also.
The Spirit of Truth leads us into all "truth" - and Discernment is determined by the truth in our inward parts (truthfulness), as well.
Only by HIS Word!

Good post and GOD Bless you enid.

refreshing post!!!

I most times people scream you cannot judge, dont judge and even when you show the context of spiritual discernment many want to remain the same. None of us is perfect and yes we must look at ourselves first but when we have a genuine heart towards God people its hard to see them being ravished by wolves and stay on the fences and feel nothing.

Very good post dear brother thank you for sharing. Those who have walked with the Lord closely for a long time will start to see these truths very clearly either through experience or in other people's lives. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
