Seriously, it does not matter much whether you are pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, the important thing is to be ready
True!
It's a scary thought though when you think about it. We are so used to the earth. Used to the earth in a good way. We enjoy it's seasons. I like to run my hands through the warm earth and smell it's produce and eat it's reward. We are used to this earth, the warmth, the cold, the snow and the rain. We are used to having our feet on the ground and the thought of not having them there can be sickening to some and to others a thrill. We are used to a lot of things and the thought of stepping out of this world and into the next is scary.
And why wouldn't it be? We have never seen heaven. We have no idea or comprehension what it means to have everything perfect, to have everything "go right" and not blow up in your face. To be able to speak to others and not have them misunderstand you or be offended. That is scary.
It was said that those that had defected from Eastern Europe back in the day that when they arrived here in the so called free world, it took them sometime to realize that no one was hounding them, they were careful and they watched over their shoulder just to make sure they weren't being followed. The so called free world to them was wonderful but it was a scary place until they were able to become used to their surroundings. Of course we know that there will be no fear of that, or something to overcome or get used to, but still looking at it from this angle, it's daunting because we have been used to a certain way of living on this plane, and to live on another plane with another body and with God whom we have never seen, the very thought of that is more than all previous thoughts that one can think of. I cannot imagine or begin to imagine the thought of seeing God. It's too incredible for me to even comprehend it.
I believe we talk loosely when it comes to heaven. We have no idea! When we start to consider all the variables, the reality of it all. The very idea of bodies defying gravity is again unimaginable, fantastical and beyond description.
