I remember sitting at my kitchen table with John 17 open and literally crying out to GOD, "When?"
An answer came that I didn't expect, as this was back in the early 80's.
I know it was Him because I would have never conjured up or thought such a thing, as I was pre-trib and quite naive at that time. The words were, "During the persecution."
Years after that day, reading Richard Wurmbrand, I understood.
