"Lord Save us From Your Followers"

Does anyone know of or heard about a documentary by Dan Merchant entitled, "Lord Save us From Your Followers"
I have not heard of it until now.I find the title unsettling
This will be shown at a friend's church this weekend.

Just from watching some clips and reading some reviews I get the impression that it sends good and bad messages.

On one hand it seems to be saying that we need to be careful not to come across as unloving or hateful, which is good.

On the other hand it seems to be saying that we should not take strong stands and preach the truth in love, but I could be wrong in that assesment and may need to actually watch it.

I too have a problem with the title. It seems to ignore the fact that not all who consider themselves to be "Followers" of Christ are actually His true followers.

Have not seen it. Probably won't. I believe the premiss is "Why is the gospel dividing America". I was thinking quite the opposite. Why is there not a greater divide? Christ speaks of such division even amongst those whom we would be closest. As for division amongst the church it seems that we have hundreds if not thousands of denominations and sub denominations. Is that not division? Will heaven be divided? Then one could factor the affects caused by the false professors of Christ and consider all of the problems from just that alone. So should it deal with these issues I would have no problem watching it............but what are the chances?
