I just finished reading K.P.Yohannan's article titled Final Chapter where he talked about the great difference our faith in God can make between our present failures and our future success. Though he focused more on present spiritual failures, I could still draw a parallel line between my present condition and what he wrote.
I've been caught up most recently in a wave of trials and troubles that have been shaking me to my very foundations. Just overnight, I experienced that my major credentials were missing. As a result, I lost a huge employment opportunity in a big company. At present, I am preparing to re-write an examinition which I had written already but could not see my result scores. Having to depend on my widowed mother and single sisters to provide for my daily needs is something I find difficult to bear especially as I have spent 7 years already in school.
However, even though the challenges seem ever growing, I'm trying hard to keep trusting God knowing that my final chapters are yet to be written. At times, my faith seems strong. At other times, I seem to tell God, "LORD, this is so heavy. Is it really meant for me? Can I really pull through?" I don't know what He has in mind, but I haven't lost my faith.
Dear Lord, pls hold me tightly close to Your heart. My own heart seems to be failing and my world seem to be falling apart. Lift me out from this pit. Lighten my burden and straighten my back. Let me feel you beside me any time the loads bend my feeble knees. Let me just feel you near me in such times like these. AMEN!
