God's angry for the evil of the day
When pews are full but families fall apart
And the hypocrite holds the highest seats where knowledge puffs up
His cold and darkened heart
And why can one man sing but fill his mind with sinful things
And try to fill the void of death by finding fault in others?
Meanwhile the widow weeps
And seeks someone to love her
Save us, Lord, in these last days
From empty words, from men's dry praise
We're falling down in fear, in faith
To live your words
And try to find pleasure in this world, I bet you don't
I bet you, I bet you come back empty-handed
And what ya gonna do when you're sitting by yourself
The only one disappointed, ya gonna sit there like you're stranded?
Or will you reach out, will you cry out to Jesus?
Will you touch the garment of the only one who saves?
And you're wonderful, you're wonderful, to hear the ones that cry
And you're wonderful, you're wonderful, that we should never die
So come again, please come again, and take the ones that hurt, O Lord
And when you come again, you come again, will you find faith on the earth?
I hope you do...
I hope you do...
I hope you do...
In me
