A Theological Conversation Worth Having: A Response to Brian McLaren by Al Mohler

We are talking about two rival understandings of the Gospel here — two very different understandings of theology, Gospel, Bible, doctrine, and the totality of the Christian faith. Both sides in this controversy understand what is at stake

If the Church never lost the central of the doctrine of the resurrection in its preaching, the Rob Bell's of the world would have a harder time rocking the boat. The existence of such men is God's indictment against us for where we have missed it.

You didn't read the article sister ginny. Contextually it makes perfect sense against McLaren's argument, and it really it just makes sense.

Thank you DesertRose. I hadn't seen your thread until about an hour ago. GOD Bless this man Albert Mohler.
Men like him are difficult to find these days. How I have and do continue to pray that The LORD would raise up more that would take a stand for truth and mainly to protect the Church against the onslaught that we've witnessed, most especially within the last three decades. So few will, for fear of losing followings or other types of the fear of man.
He 'is' the Truth, and said, that if we are ashamed of Him before men, that He will be ashamed of us before the Father.
Those like him, have a greater reward in Heaven for dying to the fear of men. For standing for the Truth despite any loses of any kind. Like Paul - for just one of the men in our Bibles.
LORD, give us more of these and less of the others, in Jesus' Thrice Holy Name.
