Does anyone know of any schizophrenics being healed? I am diagnosed as one.

I don`t know personally of one but I do know about people with schizophrenia which my sister and son had, having great relief/cure using various natural healing methods including change of diet. My view of healing my own condition which is Lyme Disease, is to do the natural healing while waiting for God to speed it up if He is kind enough to do so for me.

I am not suggesting stopping medication, but there are naturopaths who will advise about which therapies can help whilst slowly weaning with your doctors consent when symptoms lessen.

I would draw to your attention the healing of Legion, even if your symptoms are dissimilar in some respects.

The thing that stuck me about Mark's account of it, is that despite all the spiritual opposition (and I realise schizophrenia is not merely spiritual), he was able to run to Jesus and worship Him. In other words, there is nothing about your condition which prevents you from seeking the Lord for healing, with the expectation that He is able, willing, and WILL minister to you.

I think it may depend upon the causes of your condition, how your healing proceeds, and what it looks and feels like on the inside to you, but I firmly believe that God desires to restore you to full mental health, and I KNOW that the life of God is well able to supply your needs. He is FULL of compassion.

The Lord sees the WHOLE real you, and knows every single invisible disconnection which is causing this condition in you in particular. If you have already received Him as Saviour and Lord, then He is already working to bring you mental health. Even, receiving a diagnosis and having a set of symptoms which you can pray for Him to heal, is a necessary stage, as He has allowed it to come to pass. He wants you to feel completely at home with Him, and this will develop as you seek Him. Don't be afraid to approach Him.

It is really important that you press through every objection your mind presents, to 'touch the hem of His garment' in each instance. I know some prayers cannot be put into words, but He hears them all, and He always responds somehow. Never imagine He has not answered. The brain is very finely tuned neuro-chemically, and if these are being adjusted by the Lord, then I believe 'time' may be an essential ingredient in HOW He has answered, and eventually you will be able to recognise what He has done.

Matthew 14:35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; 36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

The one last thing I feel to mention, is that if you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, never having acknowledged Him as Lord and Saviour, while He understands why you have not yet, there is strong connection in the New Testament account, of His healing people who IMMEDIATELY worshipped Him, recognising Him as God. Everything I said above, is based on the premise that you are willing to let Him deal with your whole life, holding nothing back from Him, that He may reveal to and through you, His power and intense desire to make you completely whole.

In the meantime, you should co-operate with your medical team's directions.

I have had Lyme, which is a tick bite infection for 11 years undiagnosed till last year so now seriously ill with it and unable to take anti-biotics. The Lord is leading me instead to using natural means of healing.

Yes, of course He can heal.

He can heal bleeding ulcers, brain tumors, cancer, leprosy - so "mental" illness is an easy one compared to what we've seen our GOD heal.

In many cases that diagnosis is nothing more than someone struggling with an inner "conflict".

Just to give one case, that was helped by just a secular Dr who believes more in Talk therapy than "meds" - he tells about this young lady in college who suddenly began to hear the nagging voice. Come to find out - she wanted to go into a different career field - but her parents pressured her heavily to study for a field that she wanted no part of but was burning out in her studies to please her parents, very much against where her heart wanted to be and to be studying for that.
As soon as she and her parents counseled together and they saw it was wrong to take away this girls dream and she switched courses - the "conflict" stopped in her mind and so did the voices.
This same Doc gave many other case histories over this inner conflict scenario.
Sometimes it's spiritual, sometimes it's not.

Lay it before The Master and we'll all be praying with you.
Don't just 'accept' that "label" because it has as well been proven to be much over-used, so don't think you have no other recourse but a life of "meds". GOD wants us mentally free, clear, lucid, useable, and so forth and will do all to help you find the cause of this distress - but no condemnation for what you're going through now - but just seek wisdom through prayer and by talking with Christians who Love and care about you. Don't tatoo that "label" permenently on yourself. See it as a very temporary nuisance only. Some people desire mental disabilities to avoid some or other responsibilities. Stay open to what other causes, such as those given, may be the key to freedom, and that GOD Given sound mind in our King of Love, Jesus!

There is a doctor in Louisiana who had Lyme's himself and treated himself and was cured. He is a born-again Christian and has a very good success rate with other Lyme's patients.

Noah, my brother-in-law was a big time drug user in his late teens and early 20s. Drugs rendered him fairly passive as he opened himself up to the powers of darkness. He got into many kinds of drugs, and becamed very scared of demonic dreams, manifestations and voices. Through the drugs and his ignorance of the powers of darkness he opened himself up to the Enemy and became schizophrenic. In his case he has multiple demonic possession. The State mental institution (which knows nothing about the spiritual) has put him on strong drugs like Haldol which pretty much dopes him up so that the voices are quiet. He still has fear and other issues.

His mother, who is a born-again is a big time enabler and protecter of him as she will not let anyone minister to him (for 20 years) but that is another story.

I have wanted him to go off the drugs so the demons would manifest themselves and then deliverance could begin, however the mother has been the roadblock. It is also important that he gets off the drugs so that his will is not so doped up.

In his case, the possession is through abuse of drugs and the occult (he got involved in the occult). He was born-again at age 15, and then through peer pressure in a Christian school, he was introduced to marijuana. He wants Jesus and wants to be free, but for now, he needs to get free from a controlling mother.

It is a sad story that has hurt the family because the mother has no time for her daughters or grandchildren and that is a whole story in itself.

We keep praying and interceding for a breakthrough with the Mom.

The first thing that a professional does is get a history on a 'patient'. Without getting that history - the counselor would be a quack.

The age of a person would be first. If you're dealing with a minor - any counsel given would hold you more libel than if they were not a minor, if your counself is off the wall.

A background history would be next - and plenty of it - even family history.

Also, in these days of pre-fab food, even the diet of a person should be noted, because there are many "neuro-toxins" in today's food and from other sources.

If we're going the Christian counseling route - the background of the person's relationship with Christ is absolutely essential and needs to be in detail as well.

Their present environment needs to be known.
Their activities and past times and hobbies and habits, etc.

There is so much that goes into counseling, that could never take place on a thread on a forum - or at least - has not taken place on this thread.

There are many factors that could cause this type of mental anguish in a person but some will go off into stories of "possession" immediately and although I'd rather handle those type disputes privately, this is not the time for privacy.

Unless you are well educated with every possible cause of this type infirmity - it would be wise - considering the repercussions of faulty counsel - to advise the person to see someone, face to face, that is in a "sound" reputatable ministry.
Many Pastors have a good working knowledge in sound counseling and that is what should be advised.
Some people are even hyper-sensitive to electronics, as you can read about in Science Journals.

Unless a person is aware of every and any cause of such an infirmity and personally aware of the complete history on a person - it's best again, to just advise the person to seek help from a sound Christian Counselor who understands every aspect of the multiple possibilities of the cause of this or any other thought problem.

Better a millstone be tied around the neck ... etc ... than to give anyone incorrect counsel - especially any counsel that is not found in His Word...
That could have multiple repercussions, not only to the person afflicted themselves but potentially from the family of the troubled person and from GOD or the others mentioned, to the counselors themselves.

Counseling of this nature cannot be done on a forum and those who broad-brush every phenomena had better think again about their hypothesis or one-sided spiritual dx.

Noah has our prayers that he will seek sound counsel from a grounded Christian in his area who is well up-to-date in his knowledge of this particular infirmity.

Would you mind sharing the various natural means you are using to combat Lymes Disease? I would appreciate anyone else who has had it or has it and is using natural means to fight it. I know it affects the whole system (circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, etc, etc).

I am working on building up the body through fresh organic foods, but have had a bit of a setback after finding I have B2 deficiency due to taking a B complex and cutting down dairy. I am also using frequency therapy which is mainstream in some parts of Europe, herbs such as Samento, and looking for other means. I have been investigating correcting the methylation cycle too.

Do you or someone you know have Lyme? If so - what are the primary symptoms?

One thing that I can suggest is from a company named - WonderLabs, found on the net. They have "Vitamin C Crystals" - pure ascorbic acid with no additives at all. Their own brand name products have no inert ingredients - which is great for anyone with a compromised immune system because that makes them more prone to chemical sensitivity.
This vitamin C can be mixed in water and will taste like lemonade. Start with a 1/4 teasp and work up to at least a teaspoon, and take with meals.

A study released in 2005 said that the researchers found that Lyme is not just bacterial, but also viral & fungal, making it very difficult to treat - and besides there can be co-infections with other vector born diseases.
My brother got the Lyme vaccine but almost died from one of these co-infections.

As of 2005, there is also another strain of Lyme that wasn't around as long as the others.
Basically, there were 3 types that were out there since the 80's - 1, the flu-like symptoms - 2, arthritis - 3, neurological. This more recent strain is causing blindness.

If long term antibiotic treatment hasn't cured someone who's had Lyme for a while - there isn't much that can be done except build up the immune system and just treat it symptomatically. There's some good Lyme websites that you could find in a Search. Even forums where you can get lots more info.

I became sick at 5 months old when a doctor gave me medication containing 50% mercury and I was admitted into hospital and nearly died. Did I not show enough faith to get healed when I did not recover completely but was left with damage?

I became worse when my father brought home mercury in a jar for his school age daughter to play with.

I became worse still when my home was sprayed with pesticide due to the previous tenants.

Then later, at age 50 a tick bit me and I did not get a diagnosis for 10 years when I went to a private doctor instead and too late for treatment.

I have survived by only eating healthy foods and politely turning away from the junk served at Christian events.

Not once have I believed that the Lord could not heal me but I dont sit around waiting for it and doing what a lot of Christians do and not eat the foods from the field in a raw organic state. And leaders fail to tell them to do this, instead they say what you say `believe and you will be healed`.

My concern is that I bring joy to my Lord and spread the message of holiness. The rest I leave to Him.
