I don't know how or where to begin but I'm feeling that I could use even more folks praying with me for my dear dad. I don't know if my faith level has dropped, to feel that I need to yell out for more people to please pray with me, but I just feel this overwhelming sorrow - or something like it today for him.
He's 92 and I moved here for him. He's got more energy than I do and is on No medications at all. Perfectly healthy BUT, he's still 92. Will be 93 this yr.
Anyhow, he just moved here a yr ago himself and he had to leave behind his 89 y.o. Sweetheart, who used to live diagonally across the hall from him, from where he lived for 7 yrs. They were both lively and traveled a lot and all until she took ill with a bad heart valve.
To make it as short as possible... he's driven down to see her, sometimes twice a month - a two hour drive.
This time, on March 15th, he brought her back here with him.
She woke up on the day he was to bring her back on the 17th, unable to breath.
From the ER, they took her to ICU and now she's in a Rehab place up here and Dad is there most of the day and after leaving there, running errands for her. Sigh!
He looks so tired but he's always been a very determined-driven man. I don't know how he can keep going at this pace.
Neither of them are Saved.
My mind is so very consumed with worry about him, even before this major event happened. There's nothing I can do to help him, except to make a meal for whenever he gets home. I thank GOD that he lives only in the building next door to me, but other than meals, he won't let me help him. Very independent man. That's both good and bad, for him and for me.
Please, if you could think to keep them in prayer. I don't know what will happen to him neither, if she leaves this earth.
I know - I'm a worry-wort and that's a lack of faith - but when it comes to folks that you know and love - (and in my case, Dad's #1) - it's rather difficult. Quite!
Thank GOD for good things to read online or I probably would have shriveled up from worry by now. Embarrassing to admit, but I can barely think of anything else.
'Thank you' sincerely - from my heart,
Your sister Worry-wort
