2 Great videos on biblical modesty for women (a must watch for everyone)

Very timely. Though the speaker is concerned with the church (as he should), Christian men also have to navigate this mine field at their workplaces. My husband shared with me how he finally took a young women at the office aside last week and gently asked her if she could possibly dress in a less revealing manner. She was at a complete loss as to why he would have an issue with her clothes and said, "I don't understand. I always dress this way." He, in essence, told her he was a follower of Christ and if she dressed more modestly it would help him to avoid temptation. We will see what effect this will have on her...
My first thoughts were that he should have pointed out to her how she disgraces herself through the way she dresses but on second thought his approach was probably much smarter. He basically took the blame for the problem rather than preaching at her. But the point is, she was completely clueless and thinks she simply makes herself look good through this kind of dress. We should not be surprised to find this same attitude in the church, since it is so prevalent in our society. Those of us women who are older and more mature need to take to heart the clear command in Titus 2:3-5. Training younger women to be self-controlled and pure surely includes teaching about modesty! (Ideally believers are sensitive enough to follow the leading of the Spirit even in such areas as clothing)

I hate to see no comments on this HUGELY important topic. But I am at a loss for what to say. I watched both videos. They were excellent, and I passed them on to my daughters. It is so prevalent everywhere. The churches don't look much different from the world in my corner of life. I stand scratching my head.... I applaud the husband who approached a young girl at his workplace. Thank you for sharing the links.

Glad to see this neglected subject posted.

But why do so few people "SEE" ?? I am not wanting to be judgmental or critical....I just truly don't get it....I know the god of this world has blinded the eyes of the unbelieving, but what about the BELIEVING?? How can we be in such a state ??
