Jealous for God's Glory

sermonindex Nov 25, 2004

"Revival is us being jealous for God's glory."-Leonard RavenhillThe fact of being jealous for Gods name and glory is something that has been lost in the church in our age. Why do we really want God to work in our life? how earth bound are our best spiritual desires, are we wanting to be blessed and enjoy this life in earth? God wants our life totally, we need to live for Him entirely, anything less will bring shame on God. Don't be a grief to God we have been called to be Christians what a wonderful calling and name to bear.I am praying for revival not so there will be more chrisitans or that the church will be more zealous and spiritual, but for God to have his place in my life and the life of Christians. God have our entire lifes you deserve the glory that is due to your name.

In addition, article on url http://www.desiringgod.org/dg/id224.htmthrows more light on the same subject.

God had good reason to destroy his people in the wilderness because of their repeated grumbling and unbelief and idolatry. But again the Lord stays his hand and treats them graciously for his own name's sake. Thanks for sharing that article, yes its right on point with this topic. I really feel a HUGE part of God even wanting to send revival is when the people of God start to get jealous for His names sake not our own condition. There is a primary element of what makes a jewish person a jew and thats a regard and jealousness of the name of God. Has the church lost this?
