The little bit of it I did read made me think it was written by a Seventh Day Adventist. From the book:
“7. The Sabbath, as a part of God’s law, was
given to our first parents. Genesis 2:1-3.
“8. It was made for the whole race of mankind.
Mark 2:27.
My comments: Nowhere in Gen. 2:1-3 are Adam or Eve mentioned.
The Sabbath was given by Moses (from God) to the nation of Israel, not all of humanity.

Correct! And if so, then why didn't Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob observe it?
God rested, that was His business and He never instructed anyone till Moses.

Well, the idea that it's SDA pans out, and the last hope for the rest in Heb 4 dies with the man originally advocating that the Law was nailed to Christ's cross, who doesn't carry through with the rest of the thesis. Meanwhile, the SDA camp cover all other bases (such as salvation by faith before works are of any pleasure to God and the presence of the Holy Spirit) and the usual arguments about moral law being just as important within the New Covenant as the Old.
Conspicuously missing is any acknowledgement that there were many sabbath's apart from seventh-day sabbaths - ah! except for an extremely (and I mean obfuscated) oblique reference to the Sabbath before which Jesus was buried. The truth that any Jewish day begins at sundown is mentioned out of context, and the whole blame for Sunday worship is laid at the feet of the Catholic church - which while it may well be true that it belongs there, may not belong there for the reasons given in the story.
I didn't get to the end as I was reading it in blog, and it stops short. I kept hoping there'd be a twist back to truth - but if there is, I didn't get there!
It surely is a good read though, a ship being the perfect place to have several groups of people intermingling who would not normally be in each others' company.

Hi,
I didn't notice any comments, but the pictures were fabulous!
What stood out to me about that book was a ship full of people all wanting to discuss the Bible. Something you wouldn't see now days.

Well, that was one of those "don't know whether to laugh or cry statements" White Stone. But it does hit a sore spot.
