Christ's marks of resuurection

Jesus said to Thomas, "Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing" (John 20:27).
This tells us that in His resurrected body, Jesus still wore the marks of the crucifixion.

While thinking about it, i had a question in mind. I had imagined, a resurrected body is a perfect one, with all shortcoming removed. (1 Cor 15:44) So having said that, it looks to me that Jesus, had wantedly determined to retain the nail marks, as a loving reminder. Or it it a general fact that we all would have our bodily marks as is on our resurrected body.

Can some brother give some light to this or point to a resource.

That's a very good question.

My reply would be that Jesus Christ the Man was unique as well as being the Only Begotten Son of the Father (which means one-and-only-like-Him), and the sacrifice of His naturally uncorrupted Body is eternal. He had to have those marks for Thomas to see, and to testify about. Whereas we have been born with a body which MUST die, and in the resurrection it MUST be transformed from all its corruption and mortality. I don't think we know yet, whether our resurrected bodies will bear any recognisable marks. Even Jesus' face was unrecognisable.

Thank you brother, for the important pointer, ie Jesus had a naturally uncorrupted Body, so there is no need to be transformed like our mortal bodies. I somehow missed that point completely.
But you said, those marks are for Thomas to see. Is it only for Thomas, OR He would have retained them anyway for all eternity, as a symbol of Love and also a reminder to us.
Is this related to "I have engraved you in the palm of my hands" (Isaiah).
Is the "He is not ashamed to call us His brethren (Heb 2:11) in the same idea as "He is not ashamed to retain the marks of crucifixtion". He rejoices in His children.

Please correct me if i am farfetched here.

Is this related to "I have engraved you in the palm of my hands"

I believe the cross does connect with that prophecy, and perhaps Thomas remembered that when he saw the scars.
