yesterday i felt overcome and a heavyness again as i felt attacked on all sides. but i stayed in prayer and sort the Lord to deliver me. this morning i felt broken as i had to be scolded for my poisonous tongue. i welcomed God destroying more of my fleshly man but i was hurting i sort God and asked him to refresh me. In the afternoon i had a meeting with a man which was supose to be buisness but it turned out he was holy spirit filled and had been through what i was going through. as i sat and listened to this man who i do not know i was amazed how God had taken him through nearly exactly what i am going through now. My brother in christ filled me with such Joy and i left feeling totally refreshed in the Lord. For all those that know of my problems in my marriage i want to report that we are now on good ground with each other for the first time in 15 years. God had to get the root of bitterness out of me so i could forgive her but once i forgave her God showed me what i had done to offend her. I thank God that he is doing what he is doing and every corner that is turned can only prove and give God the full glory. He has saved my marriage and is working on my family and home. Amen

For all those that know of my problems in my marriage i want to report that we are now on good ground with each other for the first time in 15 years. God had to get the root of bitterness out of me so i could forgive her but once i forgave her God showed me what i had done to offend her.

Praise God!!!!! Who knew how God would work it all out? Did you? Praise the Living God! When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7 She's not an enemy any more, is she?!?!

God is training you to be a true leader in the home! Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives with understanding of their weaker nature yet showing them honor as co-heirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. 1 Peter 3:7

I am rejoicing this morning with you brother!

Surely the Lord has dealt wonderously with you, brother. It warms my heart to see God's people taking back ground that the enemy has stolen. We are more than conquerors through Him.

Psa 18:34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Thank you for not holding back in giving God the glory and truly it is only through Him that we can regain ground in the Spirit that we had ceded to the enemy.

Here is a promise from God to you. Receive it!

Joe 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

Joe 2:26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Joe 2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

The good "land" tastes good brother. Keep marching onward to victory, not giving any place to the Devil, not being ignorant of his devices. Walk in love, in forgiveness in peace and faithfulness. The Lord is your rear guard and He is establishing your feet on solid ground.

Psa 17:5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.

I encourage you to fellowship with your wife everday and pray together. Build her up with love and encouragement and especially God's Word. If anything in our lives should be top priority it is with our wife and kids. I heard someone once say, "What good is it if you save the world but lose your family?" A wife is a blessing from the Lord and a precious helpmate and fellow-soldier in the faith. She can help you in so many ways. The enemy hates the marriage of two believers and that relationship will be a focal point of his attacks to bruise each one of you and cause you to fall out of unity and love and forgiveness.

Ecc 4:9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

Ecc 4:10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

Ecc 4:11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

Ecc 4:12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Thankyou all for your encouragement and words there is so much meat in them. so i will be chewing for awhile. The reason i post is because i can see more clearer as to what God is doing in my life when i write it. the picture seems more clearer when i express them in writing and the responses to them helps me to measure where i am standing. :)

Yes, the scriptures say that bitterness defiles many. I know this from my own personal experience growing up with a root of bitterness that began as a child. Bitterness not only affects the relationship it began in but also defiles all other relationships. It also prevents our prayers. When you gain the victory over bitterness you gain a GREAT victory indeed!!

Thankyou all for your replies it helps me know that i am not alone in these struggles.

The Lord showed me many things this week and i was chastened at every turn. I must admit it is hard been chastened from the Lord but it is by these stripes that i know that i am his.

Today the lord showed me this root of bitterness how it grew in my heart from when i was little. I was rejected, shown porn, molested, beaten in all of this the bitterness took root in my heart and i had become filled with hate and violence. i watched porn as a way of getting back at my wife and the girls that had rejected me in my life. I beat up people who looked down at me sometimes with such a rage it would take at least eight men to stop me. At the slightest word that i thought was rejection, i would pull them down verbally with so much rage that i have had people tremble in front of me. one man got so scared that his nose started to bleed in front of me. All of this is the rotten corpse of the old me. and all though these things no longer are in my life God showed me that the root of bitterness was still in my heart and that satan was in waiting to fire a dart at it when ever he needed too.

Today i forgave all the people from my past but i still felt a rage hidden. i sat in prayer with the lord and i saw him remove the strong man from my heart.

The Lord asked me to post the following. i repent from some of my posts in the discussion board tonight as they where not in the spirit of the Lord and my responses where weilded blindly. I know this because i caused offence to man not the enemy. i ask God that any words of offence that i have caused because of my root of bitterness that he picks the ear up and heals the man. I am foolish in my own eyes and understanding but through the Lords eyes and ears he sows seed in good soil. although i feel weary and hurt i will not give up my birthright for a morsel of food like esau instead i run into the shelter of the Lord, for he comforts me and heals me.
