Lost Loved Ones You Were Praying For?

I was not sure where to post this; i hope i have the right one. My question is, have any of you ever spent years praying for a lost loved one and that person still died Unsaved? If so, could you please share about it here and tell me how you dealt with it or how you overcame your grief, etc.
