I am no theologian when it comes to Greek and Hebrew meanings....Can the person resist God drawing him?Well, I tried and I guess it didn't work :-D Thankfully! Can the person resist being drawn before the judgment seats?I guess one way of looking at it would be that one is being forced, externally, against your will, as in this case....The other is an 'irresitable force' of being drawn by a love so great that you could resist if you were hardened enough I would imagine...since God never 'forces' anyone to come to Him and has done so much to show His love for us in mercy, in grace, in Jesus shed blood for our sins...It is and always will remain a great mystery why He continues to pursue us though so many still reject Him. Why He came after me, relentlessly pursuing....the "Hound of Heaven"...even now I still wonder at it all, me, of all people, while I was 'steeped in sin' to the full...and yet the ways and people He placed in my path...I can't really say "I accepted Jesus" in the sense that I was doing Him some kind of favor, of course I accept what He did for us all, dying for our sins,...it was more that I was consumed by grace, amazing grace, that irresitable force of love, that He accepted me...I could only bow down and worship!I have not the foggiest idea if this is of any help or not......
