SermonIndex Site Preformance

sermonindex Jun 11, 2011

Saints,

We were able to install some server side DNS speed updates to the site. So the site should be loading much faster. Let me know if you run across any issues. We are still going to work on how better to customize this and get it working faster.

A big goal now is to get the site running as fast as possible so it can take more people on it and also distribute the audio sermons easier.

Thank you for your continued prayers as this work is done.

Great job Bro Greg. Appreciate the work you are doing.

thank you brother, the site seems to be much more responsive and faster. We are still working out a system for people who are on the site over 1-2 hours. They might need to enter security info to continue on the site to ensure they are not spammers or bots but people.

Saints,

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. The site is working much faster now and I am blessed by God's provision to see the site working better. Much is still to be done.

Has anyone had a hard time accessing any parts of the site? Or have their received a "challenge" page (a form to fill out) because they were on the site for over an hour? This is part of the security settings to help against bots, spammers, and other hackers.

I received a challenge and it did not allow me to log back in at first. About an hour later I was able to log in. Not a big deal, but it did prevent me from posting a reply because I was not logged in. Seems to be fixed now.

We have set this to 4 hours now of idleness on the site. We hope any that run across this dont think it too much of an inconvience. It really is going to help in the long run to keep this site from spamming and hackers.
