prayer please

I would like prayer but you might need to read my intro to understand this better. https://www.sermonindex.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=3971&forum=13&0I so want to spend every breath and action to glorify the Lord. His spirit is stiring inside me so strongly. The problem is I need to find a church or just a person on fire for God. I live in Lancaster county, PA, and it seems here most Christians are at best, asleep. Maybe I want too much but I need to find somewhere someone wanting nothing but Christ. Someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes Christ. I in no way mean to judge at all and I pray it doesn't sound like that but I can't see anyone living for Christ Jesus and Him alone (around here). This is what kept me from Christ in the first place b/c I knew he was calling me to a life unlike any christian I knew. I don't see it anywhere, I don't see the passion the zeal or love for God. I go to a church that the spirit moves ocaissionaly and you have people speak in tongues now and again, but I'm not nessascarily talking about that. Theres no one that I see set apart 24hrs a day for God. They want the Spirit but theres no talk of repentance, sins don't seem to matter to them b/c Jesus died for us once for all.My God, no wonder there are so many hurting souls out there. We are so into our sports, hunting, barbiques and work, Christ is missing! Its worse than I thought it was as a kid (which kept me away from God). I still don't completely let people know my desire for the Lord, b/c they don't seem to understand when I try. With all due respect to these nice people I don't want to fellowship when its about sports or even politics. I really didn't like it when during the sermon the preacher talked about the NFL game he went to and said we should be acting more like those fans and get that excited. But you know what thats all it would be - acting.I started going to my sisters church group (dif. church) but they seem even more earthly oriented but I can't leave yet b/c I think the Lord is calling me there. The topic was on new age, their preacher went to me first and continued asking me my thoughts on everything ignoring the others. My sister said he never does that. And at the end he came to me and said he thinks I should go to school and be a preacher. And I'm broken hearted in prayer for their church more than the one I attend.I use to be afraid I'd loose passion but it has gotten so much stronger. I don't want a life of my own, I wasn't meant to have one, I just want to glorify God, but I do need fellowship with people who want nothing more than the Lord, literaly, or I won't have the courage to release what God is giving me and I won't know how. All I know is around here the chuch is, I hate saying this but only skin deep. I just refuse to believe God would call me, the most rebelious one into such a love for Him but few others.Prayer in any aspect of this is appreciated. Please also pray I do as I speak.Love in Christ,Ryan

Hi Ryan,Recall some of your other postings awhile back and also read the intro that you linked to here.Much in common my friend. Came out of somewhat similiar circumstances. The Lord will change your heart and mine, all of us, as we learn and grow and continue stedfast in the faith. You have my prayers brother.Mar 6:34 And he came forth and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

I want to apologize for my behavior on another thread you asked a question. I apologize for my behavior brother and I thank God for that passion that Jesus is stirring in your heart.I pray that you find that group of brothers and sisters who are sold out to Jesus. The fellowship here is great but you need fellowship in person (we all do and I certainly need it much more than most).I live in the Washington DC and God ended up sending me to a little church of about 30 people more or less in Woodbridge VA and the fire of God has come into that small place. I'm simply saying that God can and will direct you to the right place but it may not seem to be that place at first. My first visit to the church I attend, there was an older man, nearly my father's age tailgating me on my way to the church. I hesitated turning into the little strip mall where the church is and this old man flashed my wife and I an obscene symbol at us and shook his fist in anger.Ryan, cry out to the Lord and He is going to direct your steps. I will be praying for you brother.

Thanks for prayers and replies. Though I have been humbled over the weekend, it wasn't pleasant but I thank God for it. It just bothers me how around here at least, we seem so focused on entertainment and distractions which blind us from the need of God and the power of God.
