selling our birthright

L

I wanted to share a picture of what was pressed upon me the other day which put a somewhat poignant face on sin and how we might view willful sin in our lives.

It takes but 5 verses from the birth of the twins to where we see Esau sell his birthright. This paints such a horrid picture of willful sin. How contemptible we consider the blood of Christ when we commit sin and how paltry we view our adoption that we would sell it off for a little stew and a few crusts of bread.

Such a merciful God we serve!

Amen lylewise, Amen.

I see many profess Christ in our Churches, yet they have no power in them, why?

1. Because they know not our Christ, the Son of the Living God!

2. Many do not study to show themselves approved and they aren't.

3. They do not pray. For without much prayer how can we know our God through Christ let alone receive a refreshing which is the spark of Revival?

No wonder we sell our birth right... We do not know our rights.

Multitudes think that they are safe, yet they are bound for destruction, this is a sad thought. "We prophesied in your name and in your name we cast out devils..."
And Christ will say, "depart from me for I know you not".

Thank you for these posts.

Reading 2 Timothy 3 - 2 Peter 2 and Jude - just for a start.

My Pastor opens every sermon with these words -

"The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of The LORD endures Forever."

I add:

"Let the elders that rule-[G4291] well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour-[G2872] in the word and doctrine."

Amen!
