what if

What if you pray and spend your life praying for a loved one and they never are saved...what will your response be? I have been thinking about that as my mother who has been sick gets older. Its so hard to think that there are those family and friends who I love may never come to Jesus. I want to make sure my heart is right with the Lord no matter what.

I prayed for my father for 20 years, and he died unsaved.

My response, God is still God, and I do worship Him for who He is, because He is worthy.

God bless.

That happened to my three grandparents in the past 6 years, although I'm holding onto a precious hope for one of them.

I don't have all the answers, I know that.

This is one of the most stressful times for any of Gods children to come through not knowing if a loved one is in heaven or not.
I have been praying for my wife and family (3 sons and a daughter)ever since God took a dealing with me in 1976, only the second eldest son, his wife and daughter came to Christ in that time. My eldest son of 40 years was diagnosed last January with having cancer and was given 6 months to live, he passed into eternity on the 12th of June. Not knowing were he is giving me some concern.

My response to your question rdg is never doubt Gods wisdom he is in control, I know from my recent experience that it is very hard as we grieve for our son to understand "Why"

The Weaver
My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me,
I cannot choose the colors
He worketh steadily.

Ofttimes He weaveth sorrow,
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I, the underside.

Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

Hebrews 14:14-16. I have always held this portion of scripture in my heart.
Praying always for our loved one.

May God Richly Bless you To Day.
