However, we hold the worlds largest gold reserve. And we have the largest military in the world. Although, this means nothing to God. I'm glad my King reigns on high and I don't have to put any hope in any man.

I don't want ot offend my american brothers, but:

Your gold reserve is meaningless, because if China's grip on you get tighter, you have to give all the gold/money to china (USA is their greatest debtor...)

Besides there are rumors, that the gold reserve is not soo big as it should be - if that is found out to be true, than you have the next crisis.

Your military is far advanced, when it comes to technology, but again china and russia have stronger armies and it seems that their Soldiers are much more trained to endure hardships.

america is in a very poor situation, when you view it from europes viewpoint...

If you haven't yet taken the Stars and Stripes to the cross, this should be the clarion call. A very wonderful liberty arises in the heart when the bond of patriotism is nailed to the cross. I served 4 years in the United States Army and then 6 in the Army National Guard, so I am qualified to make this assessment.

The USA is a great thing - but like the very best of all temporary earthly possessions, it is inevitably flawed. Let us set our mind on the real weight, the real gold: eternity. The cross, the blood of Christ, the ineluctable grace of God toward sinners. America is here, but could be gone tomorrow in a sweep.

Let us set our eyes instead upon the eternal and immeasurable: The Son of God who claims no earthly nation as His own, for all are as a drop in a bucket.

I served also and the Constitution of the United States is not inspired by God and is not Scripture. It gives us rights that God does not give us.

Freedom of Speech - We do not have this from God. We cannot say whatever we want to about our leaders even if they are dictators.

Freedom of the Press - We do not have this right from God, either. We cannot write anything we like if we are governed by the Holy Spirit.

Sadly, many today that call themselves Christians will surely take up arms to preseve their way of life. Rather than being wronged and suffering for it, thereby releasing the grace of God to their persecutors they will instead come against them with force.
