Arabs / Persians from Ishmael?

I've always heard that the people from the Middle East are descendants of Ishmael. Is that true? If so, which people groups come from Ishmael? Both the Arabs and the Persians? I wonder what the descendants of Ishmael think about what the Bible says in Genesis 17:19-22. These are the verses where God tells Abraham that He would bless Ishmael...but Ishmael was not the one in which God would make a covenant with. That, of course, would be Isaac (the soon-to-be-born son of Abraham and Sarah).

Very Good Question!

I was always taught that some of these Arabs are Ismaelites and if that's the case, it's no wonder many are having dreams of Jesus and getting saved and why - no matter what - we should never show hatred toward any group of people because "we never know" if GOD foreknew that they would come to Him.
I'm not quite sure how we'd split them up geographically, but I don't think it really matters, only because we should treat All unsaved folks the same. With Love and Forgiveness - no matter what they are presently doing and that's even the testimony of the martyrs.

Sometimes they look like the real McCoy and only He can protect us. But all the Biblical prophets of GOD were men just like any other man.

Hey, I was just thinking of Isaiah being sawed in half last night and got tears in my eyes. What a guy. Praying to love GOD as much as he did. Amen.
