MORAVIAN DAILY TEXT - AUGUST 22

Psalm 102:12-22 Jeremiah 18:1-19:9; 1 Timothy 3:8-16

See, I have tested you in the furnace of adversity. Isaiah 48:10

There was a leper who came to him and knelt before him, saying, "Lord,
if you choose, you can make me clean." Jesus stretched out his hand and
touched him, saying, "I do choose. Be made clean!" Immediately his
leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8:2-3

We ask for mercy, God, on all who struggle this day with work, family,
faith, and with life itself. Have compassion on all who are depressed
and save them from its destruction with the security of your love. Give
us love and understanding to walk with those who suffer in this way. In
the name of Jesus. Amen.

Lord your promises have been tested and proved in past generations. May they be tested and proved in our day. With you is great power to guide and supply the needs of your saints. May we follow to glory you in our lives.
