Are we robbing our children

Recently I saw a news article about little girls lingerie and a photo shoot that was done with girls as young as three. It just made me so sad, what is happening to parents, what are they thinking allowing this kind of stuff? I went shopping with a family member and all the clothes for little children where so mature and completely ridiculously priced. How can a little boys and girls go outside and be children when society and parents are forcing them to be miniature adults. I look around and I see moms with their daughters, little girls who have on so much jewelry, make up and designer outfits that they look like minnie version of their moms instead of little children. Society throws so much inappropriate content at children that little girls as young as six and seven are concerned over their weight. Its no different for boys either. Parents do not even seem to care, where is the protection of their little ones? Where is the covering for these little girls by their dads? It seems as if we are robbing our children of their chance to be "children". I believe this all must grieve the Lord very, very, deeply.

Yes Krispy sadly I can believe what you say is true and even more sadly many parents will think that its just fine. Teaching our very little girls to do inappropriate things with their bodies,and to wear inappropriate clothing is surely very revealing of just how far from the Lord we have gone astray.

I find myself embarrassed for these little girls when I see them out and about. I also find myself feeling very frustrated with the moms.

Yes, this sets children up to accept immorality. It robs them of a natural shame associated with exposing their bodies for all to see.

After they become promiscuous they may turn to homosexuality because heterosexuality no longer satisfies.

At CPC we were told illicit sex is addictive. It is harder to shake then drug addiction. I think we can see here on these forums the difficulty people have in breaking free from immorality in all its forms.

Romans 1 tells us God gives people over to a reprobate mind when they persist in sin...but, yes, I grieve, too, when I see young children exposed to this vile sin.

Scriptures teach us modesty. The OT law gives us some specifics on this issue. Since many think the OT law has nothing to teach us they go their merry way and make their own rules which gets them into all kinds of messes.

Especially when Jesus says, send the children forth unto me for the kingdom of God is theirs. (my paraphrase) Their innocent hearts ready to burst into flames for Jesus are being hijacked by this delusion. Tears
