Dominionism and constructionism

I have heard these terms thrown out in christian circles in the past and I recently heard 2 podcasts about what they are supposed to be all about. I disturbs me to say the least. I liken it somewhat to the Iranian leadership.
When I head these terms I didn't think people were serious about what it was about but it goes right up into politics.

Those of you who are in the know about these subject in regards to the church and the nation, comment about what you know about it.

I heard some information on 2 different podcasts and although some of it seemed very far fetched to me some of it did make some sense and has me question why?
