Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down
from the Father of lights. James 1:17 (NASB)
Gracious God, we are so thankful for all the good things in life. So
much of our daily living depends upon these good things, and our
receiving them depends in turn upon the work and daily life of so many
other human beings. Strengthen us to do our part in resolving the
world's difficult times and in easing the world's suffering. Amen.
