Need info

I am looking for some info and after a search I am still back at square one. I got to thinkng that surely someone on SI could in a moment tell me where it is what I am looking for.

I am looking for a website that analyzes modern music groups, examines their content, their message; what is right, good or bad about them from a Biblical perspective. I prefer one with lists.

Now, I can easily look at a group and 'know' the answer as to whether they are of God or not but do not know the reasons other then my perception of looking at their pictures.

My situation consists of communicating with nieces, nephews who are involved in rock music.

The most recent disaster happened when my [now estranged] SIL took her children to a def leppard concert...

When I was a teenager, my youth pastor showed a video in our youth group about the dangers of rock and roll music. By the time that I saw it during the 1990s, it was a dated video (circa 1989), but it had a great impact on many of the other kids in our youth group. Some of the groups and music is a bit dated, but the reasoning behind the message is still the same.

This is probably the best video on the dangers of rock music that I have ever viewed. The original video included a well-designed study guide as well. The video is quite systematic, taking a very analytic approach from a Biblical and spiritual perspective.

It was successful enough that the creators of the video made a couple of sequels (including one on rap music). However, I appreciate the first video most of all. Some parts of it are a bit shocking, but that may be part of the rationale behind the impact that it had on people's minds and hearts.

I have a VHS of the series (two tapes) laying around that I purchased from eBay (even though I don't even have a VCR). However, I looked it up and found it online as well:

Personally, I appreciate the approach taken by the video. His later videos are much up-to-date (with analyses of more modern rock groups, lyrics, etc...), and you can see the growth within the presenter from the time he created this video series to the newer ones. However, this was the one that opened my eyes quite a bit about the importance of music and how it can be convoluted or misused.

My heart is so grieved with my SIL who is pursuing EVIL. She was not raised this way...She left her husband and is taking the children with her into sin...

As we look back there were red flags but we were at a loss to interpret what we were seeing.

But let me tell you all this: my SIL was involved carnally with males before she married. She repented, experienced forgiveness BUT she did not follow up in staying close to the LORD. The devil had his foot in the door of her memory but did not do her part in staying with the Shepherd. Now she is pursuing SIN.

Brothers and sisters, if you have ever been involved in immorality, the ONLY way you can ever, EVER live victoriously over this sin, temptation and its memories is by staying close to the Shepherd. ALWAYS. If you stray for one moment you can bet the devil will be there to snatch you! You will get on that slippery slope from which there is no getting off apart from some radical supernatural intervention by God. And it just may be that in the process of being on this slippery slope you can blaspheme the Holy Spirit. DO NOT GO THERE!
