Wishing a Merry and Blessed CHRISTmas!

sermonindex Dec 22, 2004

I want to just share and wish a Merry and Blessed CHRISTmas! for all members and viewers of SermonIndex.net! Admist all the materialism and hype let us quiet our hearts and see Christ in all things.. Many peoples hearts are open to the gospel and many go to church out of tradition.. pray that this year many will be drawn to know that that baby in a manager was the Son of God. May they encounter him!Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Here are a few other threads on this theme you might want to check out:Christmas SermonsSermons-great presentsThe origins of Christmas?

Hi all you beautiful people, may you also have a truely blessed sharing and caring Christmas. Thank God for his indescribable gift! 1 Cor 9:15God bless you this christmas! Here are a few hymns to listen to worship our saviour that was born in bethleham.Away in a managerThere was no room for them in the inn. Lk. 2:7Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, The little LordJesus laid down His sweet head. The stars in the sky all looked down where He lay, The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hayThe cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, The little LordJesus, no crying he makes. I love Thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky, And stay by my side until morning is nigh.Be near me, Lord Jesus! I ask Thee to stay Close By me for-ever, and love me, I pray. Bless all the dear children inThy tender care, And take us to heaven, to live with Thee there.Hark the herald angels sing…A multitude of the heavenly host praising God… Lk. 2:13Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the new born King;Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinnersreconciled!” Joyful, all ye nations, rise, Join the triumphof the skies; With angelic host proclaim, “Christ is born in Bethlehem!” Hark! The heraldangels sing, “Glory to the new born King.”Christ, by highest heaven adored: Christ, the everlasting Lord!Late in time behold Him come, Offspring of the Virgin’s womb. Veiled in flesh the God-head see; Hail th’incarnateDeity, Pleased as man with man to dwell,Jesus, our Emmanuel. Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the new born King.”Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace! Hail the Sun of Righteousness!Light and life to all He brings, Risen with healing in His wings. Mild He lays His glory by, Born that man nomore may die; Born to raise the sons of earth, Born to give them second birth. Hark! The heraldangels sing, “Glory to the new born King.”Come, Desire of nations, come! Fix in us Thy humble home:Rise the women’s conquering seed, Bruise in us theserpents head; Adam’s likeness now efface, Stamp Thine imagein its place: Second Adam from above,Re-instate us in Thy love. Hark! The heraldangels sing, “Glory to the new born King.

Hi all, sorry for the typeo on the corinthians thing, it is supposed to be 2 Cor 9:15 :-? We sang this song in church this morning, Oh Holy night/nite these are some of the words that really touched me:Oh holy night! The stars are brightly shining It is the night of the dear Savior's birth! Long lay the world in sin and error pining Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn! Fall on your knees Oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine Oh night when Christ was born Oh night divine Oh night divine Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming Here come the wise men from Orient land The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger In all our trials born to be our friend. Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother And in His name all oppression shall cease Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us praise His holy name.Truely was very gripping.

Heard another song today which has been out for a while by Delirious - Majesty (Here I Am)From the album Hillsong and deliriousHere I am, humbled by Your Majesty, covered by Your grace so free. Here I am, knowing I'm a sinful man, covered by the blood of the lamb. Now I've found the greatest love all is mine, since You laid down Your life, the greatest sacrifice.Majesty, Majesty.Your grace has found me just as I am,empty handed but alive in Your hands.Majesty, Majesty.Forever I am changed by Your love,in the presence of Your Majesty. Here I stand humbled by the love that You give, forgiven so that I can forgive. Here I stand, knowing that I'm your desire, sanctified by glory and fire. And now I've found the greatest love all is mine, since You laid down Your life, the greatest sacrifice.I have heard this song before, and everytime I hear it I am reminded of the story of the publican beating his chest, saying God have mercy on me a sinner. In a very freeing way, do you know what I mean....?
