Sheesh, the mind boggles. Even his co-host said something about " In sickness and in health," to which Mr Robertson replied "Till death do us part," suggesting that those with this disease is already dead so to speak. Lord help us all..............brother Frank
This is an outrage.
I work with alzheimers patients, and though their mind may not be quite all there, THEIR HEART IS SURELY INTACT
Makes me sad to read this.
It is unbelievable and not in line at all with the loving, caring heart of the Father.

Sigh. Saints I commend to you Robert McQuilkin, past president of Columbia Bible College and Columbia University. This godly man resigned his position and gave up public ministry to care for his wife who was diagnosed with alzhiemers. This loving husband of many years stayed at his side's side until God took her home. As Krispy said it is called love and sacrifice.

My wife and I both know I will probably go home before her... but should the Lord make me wait, and should she ever face something like cancer or alzheimers I will be there to the end holding her hand.
I feel sorry for Pat Robertson's wife. I wonder what she thinks of his statement?

Blaine, do you have access to the article McQuilkin wrote about his situation? Many years ago he wrote an article detailing his decision to leave his job to care for his wife. This was such a touching piece...if anyone can find it it would make a very nice contribution to the collection here on SI. I did a brief search on the "Christianity Today" site but could not find it - it appeared before computers.
