Gone thru the cities of Israel till the son of man be come..

Did this question ever get answered? I could not find the history of it in this section, thanks.

i have a question for here but i have no ideal as to ask it. So i tell you about it. it is Matthew 10:23 jesus says " You shall not have gone threw the Cities of Israel, till the son of man be come". I am thinking this means Jesus will return in the first Centry and in the life time of the people he is speaking too. i know it must mean something else, but I ask You this ! i expect you to have too much of other things to do than answer this simple question, for If i don't get a reply. I will not feel bad !

I will take a shot at it, since this passage has always been interesting to me.
In the Bible, both the OT prophets or prophecies often slip over into another time continuum. For example, Jesus in Mt 24:(4-14)talks about the general events up unto "then shall the end come". Then Jesus begins talking about the 'near in' events that will happen to Jerusalem at the 70AD destruction and moves on from that to the 'signs and wonders' then into the rapture (27), then into the last days. Jesus does this without giving any indication of the time criterion He is referring to. This is done throughout the Bible. That is why we are to rightly divide the word of truth from so many aspects.
In the Mt 10 passage, Jesus (I believe), now in foresight mode, goes into the future, where the preaching to a 'restored nation' of Israel (probably by the 1444,000)becomes the focus. It's amazing how clearly God see's and often shifts focus in His Word. I hope my opinion on this does not shake any fundamental views on scripture that anyone may have, it just seems repetitive instances of this type of writing show up all over the place in the bible.
