Prayer requests that can be answered by His church

" Have you asked my brothers" thats what I heard the Lord tell me after prayer the other night. What do you mean Lord?, I asked. I was reminded of Luke 11. Where we read of the midnight beggar.

There we see Christ give the analogy of what prayer can be like. Knocking at the mid night hour(dark hour) asking for bread. We are to be persisting in prayer.

But I heard the Lord say, what if you literally had to knock on the door of a neighbor at midnight for bread. Would you?

In matthew 25 we read about the glorious scripture of feeding , clothing visiting etc the needy. Those who visit would be blessed. They would be blessed because they did this unto Christ himself. They ask, when did we do these things.? Christ responds, "You did these things to me when you did them to the least of my brothers."

I'm sure there is a application there for the world and sinners. But I think the lord was showing me the concept of the body of Christ. " the least of my brothers". Probably means his church. Can't be a brother unless you've been grafted in or adopted by Him, so to speak.

I heard God say. "I left my body here to also be an answer to prayer. Go ask my brothers. Humble your self. "

This all has come to me by a very trying streching time. In fact I'm humiliated in many ways. But thats my pride. I recently was serving at a orphanage with my family. The Lord moved us on to go be a part of another ministry. We sold everything , packed the van and drove across the country. Technically homeless. but we had close to $15,000 to our name. we sold almost everything. We stayed in hotels for 2 weeks. Found a rental home and furnished our home with craigslist furniture.

We paid 4 months rent up front. All was well. Started volunteering here and there etc etc. We have so much joy for being here. Lots of peace and joy.

I'm a little confused. because i have not found work yet. Today it got real bad. I'm negative $13 in my account some how. I have kids and a pregnant wife. I have diabetes etc etc. my rent is do in a few days along with bills. Plus we support 4 kids in india through kp yohanans ministry. I don't want to ever stop supporting them.

WOW, right. I'm not mad or bitter. Nor am I really scared. I am a little confused. I do trust God.

I think I have to obey His voice when He said. " Have you asked my brothers" It will be challenge on perhaps both sides. We are used to being the givers. I am concerned about what others might think. Perhaps thoughts of how reckless of a move this was.

I had it good at the orphanage. our bills were all taken care of. I did hear the lord say. I want you to take this step of faith.

In all honesty. it's easy for me to write this here. I'm anoumous. You don't know me.

brothers sisters please pray for me and my family. we have a revelation. This gospel brings us to strange places. it will make us broke at times. It will make us look mad and looney. But hey thats how the gospel starts. almost scandalous. a virgin womb...strange. in my case a broke man who had money who had it good. but it both cases we have a holy christ to be born . we have visions of starting orphanages etc etc etc.

perhaps your prayer can be that God provide very soon and equip us for ministry. or you can pray we still give him glory if we end up homeless. i know we are not exempt from any trials or poverty. pray we find at least a manger. after all the king of kings was not afraid to be born in a stinky place such as a manger. after all he was born in filthy wrecthes like you and me. The gospel is all about not being afraid of stinky situations.

Brothers, sisters, forgive me, I lied. I am scared. We need help

By his grace alone......

Brother,

I am in a very similar situation. The Lord has given me great peace. I have a word from the Lord.

Wait on the Lord to show himself strong with an outstretched hand and mighty arm on behalf of those who love Him.

In His mercy,

Travis

Brother,

silver and gold I do not have, but I do have my Lord Jesus, and I will bring petitions to the throne of Grace on behalf of you and your family tonight.

Psalm 136
His Steadfast Love Endures Forever
1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever.
2Give thanks to the God of gods,
for his steadfast love endures forever.
3Give thanks to the Lord of lords,
for his steadfast love endures forever;

4to him who alone does great wonders,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
5to him who by understanding made the heavens,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
6to him who spread out the earth above the waters,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
7to him who made the great lights,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
8the sun to rule over the day,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
9the moon and stars to rule over the night,
for his steadfast love endures forever;

10to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
11and brought Israel out from among them,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
12with a strong hand and an outstretched arm,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
13to him who divided the Red Sea in two,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
14 and made Israel pass through the midst of it,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
15but overthrew[a] Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
16to him who led his people through the wilderness,
for his steadfast love endures forever;

17to him who struck down great kings,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
18and killed mighty kings,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
19Sihon, king of the Amorites,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
20and Og, king of Bashan,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
21and gave their land as a heritage,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
22a heritage to Israel his servant,
for his steadfast love endures forever.

23It is he who remembered us in our low estate,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
24and rescued us from our foes,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
25he who gives food to all flesh,
for his steadfast love endures forever.

26Give thanks to the God of heaven,
for his steadfast love endures forever
