A Time When Sermonindex will be shut down

Hey guys,

So I have not posted in the forum yet and this is my first time however I have been following different threads and using sermonindex for quite sometime now.

A thought just came to mind:
There will be a time when sites like sermonindex, illbehonest etc will be banned and censored from the public, at that time all these resources will be in lost.

I was wondering if sermonindex moderators has some sort of back up of these resources.

These are some good thoughts. It is true that persecution is going to come not just to the West but to the entire world. Some websites like this might be banned from certain countries or taken off the internet fully. As for a backup of the resources we do have an off-line backup but there is no online backup solution right now. We have trusted and continue to trust the Living God in this area of provision for Him to protect the servers and keep these sermons online and going out to the millions.

I do have a burden and vision to have to have a file-sharing software setup specifically for sermonindex for users to download many or all of the sermons to their personal computers and help host the content. The technology is called: Bit-Torrent.

I am praying for help to do this or resources to do this. It would be great to see users of this site be able to help in this way with their internet connections and personal computers.

I have thought of this before as well. I actually at one time thought it would be a good idea to download all of the sermons on the site so my PC could act as a buffer in case of such a thing, but the thought of one at a time downloading everything was overwhelming. If there were 3000 PC's that all shared the content then the odds of losing it would be far less it would seem.
