Perception of the keenest kind is little to avail
When focused on the causes that explain just why we fail
To recognize the reason even if we are correct
Falls short of grace and power any weakness to perfect

We might can see the root of sin’s depravity to blame
And point our righteous finger all at Adam we defame
But little do we realize that this insight so sure
Does barely more than medicate the cause without a cure

Amen. Adam caused the fall but we perpuate it by our disobedience. He birthed it in our hearts but we nuture and grow it by our care and love for sin.

Christ is the only remedy. Him in us and giving us the promises of God that are "yes" in Him that we might be partakers of the divine nature.

A Christ of the theology book never sanctified, purified or helped anyone to walk in righteousness. We need a living Christ to fill us.

Longtempered one,

I agree, the cause without the cure only brings condemnation. On the other hand, the cure without the cause is powerless, for it does not abase the soul unto salvation.

And how usless is it to peer into ourselves for the reasons why? We'll never know the half of it anyway... Look unto Jesus, all the ends of the earth, and be saved. Thank God for His grace...
