poem: seasons of the heart

T
tbsounde2 Oct 7, 2011

as the late afternoon sun softly fades into the evening sky

the maple leaves dance to the tune of the gentle breeze

a fragrance of stillness fills the tranquil air

while the symphony of seasonal colors enters it’s prelude

whispers of yellow, orange, and red can be heard

as the world waits for this timeless story to once again unfold

and as i am overcome by the music of this symphony

stillness and peace quiets my busy heart

assurance and rest calms my weary soul

a time to laugh and a time to weep

a time to sow and a time to reap

for the seasons of God are not only seen

but sung from the heart and made for the King
