What have you been listening to lately? What did you hear? Something there which made an impression? It would be interesting to take part of those impressions, to walk with you for a while in the particular experience.Hand in short quote or thought from your listening adventure.

"Lord keep me eternity conscious" - Leonard Ravenhill from the 'eternity' audio teaching.Lars, this impacted me tonight as I was listening to it. How much of my daily living for God has anything to do with eternity? are my prayers be prayed in light of eternity, or are they just focus on the hear and now?I want to keep repeating to myself that phrase. And let God meld it into my thinking and my actions. Ohh how important this is!

- Prayers prayed in the light of Eternity...I cannot but quote an intriguing passage from “The Stewardship of the Mystery”, by Sparks:“Redemption seen in its full compass and as being something more than what is merely of time. It is called ‘Eternal redemption’. Redemption is something more than the saving of men and women from sin and their sinful state. It is getting behind everything to the ultimate ranges of this universe, and touching all its powers; liking up with the eternity past and the eternity yet to be, and embracing all the forces of this universe for man’s redemption.”God... an everlasting – eternal – rock, Isa 26:4.An everlasting salvation, Isa 45:17.With everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion, Isa 54:8.Everlasting covenant, Isa 55:3.The Lord, an everlasting light, Isa 60:19(And there is more along the same line.)We may reach out for this light of Eternity, and we may arise and shine...

Recommended by "InTheLight" in another post dealing with having a 'critical spirit' wasDavid Wilkersons sermon "Who Shall Prolong His Days?"http://66.139.79.202/sermonindex.net/modules/mydownloads/visit.php?lid=1454 Something I had been asking the Lord about in dealing with this whole issue was how to go about voicing the problems in the church, the false teaching and teachers for instance, am I to stay silent to be uncritical? How do I weigh out say Leonard Ravenhills strong rebukes in "Why Revival Tarries" of much that was going on in the church then (could you imagine his comments if he was still with us today?!)I realise that the buck starts here, where the telephone pole that juts out of my eye, knocking over those in my path, has to be removed. What I sensed the Lord telling me was that maybe it wasn't 'my job' to be the denouncing prophet, I mean look at my credentials?!, exactely, I can't find them either. Maybe it was better left to those who actually do have some credentials to be the Elijahs of our day. And to confirm this, Mr. Wilkerson spoke of being very careful in having our facts straight in this regard before we go and slander another brother. He states it much better than I, let me just say that it totally confirmed what the Lord was telling me, I repented to the Lord for this and asked that the Holy Spirit convict me before I open my mouth ever again. There is something very endearing in humility, sadly that word has been so misconstrued, for a man that has been in ministry as long as he has to share his heart in how he has misjudged people touched my heart and showed me where I have 'failed the test' as he put it. The Lord is good and gracious in pointing out where we have erred, without condemnation, but so that we can learn and grow and be molded more and more into the image of His Son.Great message, a 'must hear'Thanks go to 'InTheLight' for bringing me into the light.

Ravenhill reminded us about a woman who listened to George Whitefield and who asked why he wept.He said, ‘I weep because you don’t weep’, ‘My heart breaks for that heart of yours that does not break.’This attitude of Mr. Whitefield will bring any of us, if we lay hold of it, to the edge, to a breakthrough in the heavenly realm which will teach us what true revival is.Listen to True Revival by Leonard Ravenhill
