What a contrast between Keith Daniels and Carter Conlon........brother Frank
We've been Praying for Unity between His Beloved.
"They were all together in one accord and then ......."
Please pray with us, all.
I doubt you will hear a better sermon on this subject which has caused men to follow men for hundreds of years, dividing and seperating and piting one against another. There is a unity coming and it will be for men who have Jesus and the Word of God as their pre-emminence.....brother Frank
The Scriptures are the key..., as Brother Keith has shown us.

Oh Lord! Please work something in the Church, something sublime, something wonderful, something that hasn't been worked in many, many centuries now.
Oh Lord! Protect the Conference. Break through hard hearts. Work mightily in the midst. God bless and protect Brother Keith for his courage and integrity to bring such a message.
Oh Lord! Help us and guide us now. Helm me! Amen.

Yes Lord! In the Greenock conference we prayed much against ancient walls of division that kept brothers and sisters apart and their eyes off Jesus. This subject this morning is one such wall. Brother Carter Conlon is a good representative of the other ancient wall, that of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, another great division that keeps mens minds and hearts off Jesus. Brother Keith mentioned with rightful shock how men have written books against D.L.Moody, there are many men who have hated brother Conlon and Times Square church because they are believers in the gifts of God. Tear it down Lord, use brave men to stand up and let the light of God touch it. There will come a time shortly where all brothers and sisters will stand together, the remnant, as Keith mentioned this morning, and they will stand in unity as the enemy makes his last stand against the poeple of God........brother Frank

Lord may something good come out of Atlanta.
As I listened to Carter Conlon preach what I consider to be a message from the throne, I wonder if people get it? Perhaps some can tell me? Its interesting to me, coming on the back on many threads, inculding head-coverings, what the brother shared. Brother Brian Long shared on our prayer call a very similiar message a few weeks ago,and the very song that brother Conlon shared, was the hymn that brother Brian used, let the lower lights be burning. Are you a light to those who are lost in darkness, it is this heart that the Lord blesses to see His glory fall.
On a conference on the fear of God being the missing element, brother Carter Conlon declared that the missing element of revival is the Love of God. I believe this to be totaly true. Praise God for this message.......brother Frank
He read Matt 25 about the sheep and goats and I can't picture doing any of those things without Love... "though I give my body to be burned....."
Frank, I have to agree with you brother, and I'll take it a step further. After Carter Conlon spoke, there really was nothing more to say.

Hi brother. Yes, I believe that brother Carter gave the definitive message on the missing element of revival today, the supernatural love of God. We know that in the last days the love of many will wax cold. Yet, as the example Carter gave, this supernatural love comes in encounter with the Lord Jesus Himself, as the woman who sat at His feet who was forgiven much and loved much.
Carter delivers a rebuke as well as it can be delivered in my opinion, I saw him do this five times in Greenock as he challenged the local church. Now, whether people listen or not is another matter. Carter says that the Holy Spirit must be asked for, that just cuts through the theological arguents of what it means to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. He talked of people being bankrupt of the heart of God. He talked about perfect love casting out all fear. He talked about people seeking God but refusing to enter in and then surprised at no revival. He talked about studying not being the same as ministering.
He stated emphatically that this generation will not be won by conferences, arguments and theology, and of course he is correct. He spoke of Proverbs about those who condemn the just. He also spoke of the religion that focuses on how a person is dressed and a people who have no joy. He said that he started in the Spirit and did not want to finish religious, an obvious reference to the " foolish Galations." He said that faith without love is no faith at all. He said that the unrighteous see the unrighteous ( meaning the pharisee sees the sinner) and the righteous see Jesus. He said that we do not have a legal relationship with God but a love relationship with God.
So brothers and sisters, it was undoubtedly a rebuke to those who have ears to hear what the Spirit says........brother Frank

I have just finished listening to Carter Conlin's message. At times I was shouting to Jesus in praise. At other times I was on my knees weeping. This brother has brought a timely message from God to our generation. The question is will but in humility embrace that message of Jesus loving all people through us
If anyone has not done so please listen to this message. Please listen with a humble and open heart. You will shout. You will weep. But be prepared to be changed if you will but let his Spirit do so.
Lord Jesus. I ask that we ei be your willing vessels for you to love all people through us. In your precious name. Amen.

I believe brother Frank's was a good summation of Carter Conlon’s message. Amen to the spirit of Brother Blaine's comments as well.
As for Keith Daniel, he did speak about “Calvinism vs. Arminianism”...
To explain:
When Calvinists and Arminians agree to work together, they usually also agree to NOT bring this long-standing disagreement between them up. It was VERY unusual and incredibly bold for Brother Keith to do this, in such a venue as that.
Augustine:
This rift within the true, believing Church of Jesus Christ has been with us for more than sixteen centuries now. It actually goes back to the days of the late 4th century Latin Father Augustine. Augustine, (Bishop of Hippo in Roman northern Africa), was evidently a brilliant intellect, who also said a lot of good and Biblical things. Unfortunately, and to the great sorrow of centuries, he also did not seem to be aware of the earlier Greek-speaking Ante-Nicene Fathers, nor the Greek New Testament, and was responsible for introducing several novel doctrines into the Church that have divided us ever since...
For example, Augustine was the first writer we have any knowledge of who taught Christians that they could join with the STATE in persecuting other Christians with different opinions. He was “reacting” against the Donatists. Again, as a “reaction” against the “Pelagians”, Augustine was the first we know of who taught an unconditional election of individuals to salvation,(and thus as well, the absolute, unconditional security of the believer, (which was a change of his opinion from his earlier writings on the conditional security of believers.)
Thus, Augustine emphasized and began to solidify for the first time a system of doctrine that is found nowhere in the earlier Greek-speaking Church fathers, nor, it is argued, is such a system found in the inspired writings of the Greek-speaking apostles either.
The REFORMATION:
A thousand years later, as a “reaction” against the Roman Catholic Church’s teaching that people “must earn their salvation through good works”, the Reformation “fathers” raised up SCRIPTURE and specifically St. Paul and his inspired doctrine of “the unmerited grace of God in the salvation of the believer, BY FAITH ALONE.” This was enough to counter this error of Rome, but to further bolster their position, they tragically also raised up AUGUSTINE and his doctrine and emphasis on “individual election” and the “unconditional security of the believer.” Then, where the Reformers held power in the STATE, they followed Augustine’s other merciless doctrine mentioned above...
All that being said..., many, many real and true Christians yet hold onto Augustine’s doctrines, as systematized by Calvin, his nephew Beza, and by the Calvinistic Synod of Dort mentioned by Brother Keith in his sermon. They sincerely believe that behind many of the teachings of Paul and other of the apostles, lies their System of “unconditional election”, “limited atonement”, “irresistible grace”, and “unconditional eternal security”, and they continue to divide the Church over their system to this very day.
Finally:
As I understand it, Brother Keith was seeking a restoration of the Church. He was seeking a restoration AWAY from the “reactionary” systemization of doctrines that the apostles clearly never systematized, and a restoration BACK to the plain, literal, inspired Holy Scriptures themselves, wherever they lead...

Do we need to give these men "scores", on who did best?
Every Christian is different as snowflakes are and are at different places in their walks ... some Backslidden - some half-dead - some alive - so we had different sermons to cover all. It should be apparent here that everyone listens to a certain one man more than other men. We all do have our favorites - but why should we grade men that came at their own expense and gave what they do truly feel that GOD gave them. There was No Heresy this weekend- but just different descriptions of the same topic. Each one mentioned "love & fear".
What we needed after the Conference was a REAL attempt at Unity and to not say - "I am of Cephas, I am of Paul ..."
What does the LORD say about those who causes seperations - divisions?
Can we try for unity and see that we have different messages for different 'walks'? ... as it IS HIS will for His Body to be one.
No one preached Heresy this weekend. Just different aspects and sides of what should be our view of our relationship with GOD ..... BOTH Love and Holy Awe/"Fear" [as The Word calls it].
The "fear of GOD" is scriptural - 100%. Some need it more than others.
Some want only a lovey-dovey mamby-pamby Jesus and their lives show it.
And happy that Keith Daniel tried to bridge yet Another gulf between us.
Praise The LORD for all the bridge builders that we can possibly find. They seem to be scarce these days.
We are supposed to love like Jesus but I’ve come to realize that just because someone gets “saved” and studies the word that doesn’t automatically mean they receive LOVE as Jesus had. As individuals, I believe we have to WANT TO love as Jesus loved, etc.
Check me if I’m wrong but isn’t salvation is our base line? The least required to get into heaven, “You must be born again,” and “I am the door,” etc?
I ask that because the Lord led me to study the parable of the ten pounds (Luke 19.11-27) this week and it seems to me that when He returns with His kingdom He is going to expect a RETURN on this salvation (our 1lb we were given), and will we be able to lay at His feet more than He gave us?
1. As in love, mercy, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and patience (Gal 5.22-23)??
2. And will we be able to lay any gifts at His feet that He gave us? Did we even ASK for any?
The parable of the ten pounds have stuck into mind, I do not want to be an enemy of God (Luke 19.27), not being able to double or more of what He has given to me. If you think I'm wrong, I can handle it, let me know.
Just thinking about my two cents.
And God help us to DESIRE to gain more lbs in this life to give back to Him on that day,

You seem to be raising point that no one else has raised. If you actually read the posts that have been written on this thread, you will see that no one is raising the issues that you keep raising. What we have spoken of is the issues raised by the speakers. Doug pointed out what Keith spoke of, and did it very well, I took note during Carters message and posted the highlights of what he said. So, the foucs in this thread is what the speakers said, to whom, and to how we can apply it. Please take the time to look at thses posts for what they are, they are honest assesments of what was spoken by the speakers. Carter himself said that it would do no one any good to listen to his sermon seven times and be blessed by it, it would only do good if one would simply do the things that he was calling for and for that I say amen.........brother Frank
I totally agree, why would we ever want to compare two precious brothers that the Lord has seeded with His message in His way for this hour? Each part of the Body is so needed for our spiritual health. They both are beautiful vessels in the Master's hand. I recall Carter Conlon beginning his message with an admonition to be careful how we speak of the Bride. Many may not be aware of the rift in the Body of Christ because of doctrinal differences of Calvanism and Arminianism. Understanding of Church history helps so much in equipping us for Spirit led intercession. Both messages from these precious saints are vital for revival that will result in a unified purified Bride that will shine with the glory of our Bridegroom. May the Lord be glorified in each of us. Bless you all for your comments and love for Jesus our Bridegroom.
Can't we recognise "The Body as a Whole"?
We're all somewhere on this scale and not ALL in the 'perfect' middle of it - where we should be.
LOVE for GOD and all of Mankind....................|.......................FEAR of GOD
I know for a 'fact' that there were a few there, that are or 'were' not even on that scale at all.
So ALL that was preached this weekend was for someone either in the wrong place on this scale or not on it at all or that Need to learn what the Middle-Ground is and 'stay' there.
Last night I read from the JTBTV website - Articles with comments - back further than July 2010.
We, as a Body, need to find a place that is, at the least, consistent [or better yet, growing], from yr to yr.
