Oh, praise His Holy Name. Amen to Brother Frank's comment here. I heard Brother Brian Long's message on love and both are so deeply from God's heart. Great tears of joy flowing.
I am praising God as He used this conference to break a religious spirit that was trying to come upon me. A spirit that is so sneaky and so wicked. But you know, it never did make sense some of the things I was contemplating that I listened to in the past from teachers. Because I heard things that have been put down but as I went over them in my mind with the Lord, I see how God used them in and for me and how His Presence was there. I actually prayed the sinners prayer. I know there is a teacher that is honored here that puts that down. So, I was going over it in my mind and talking to the Lord about it. It was as real for me as the sun rises each day. We can't put God in a box.
And some of the beautiful worship music that has been put down. I asked the Lord, if this is so bad how come Your Presence comes into my home, my truck while I am listening and the words of these worship songs are so to and from Your heart. So pure and so beautiful. Not talking about some of the songs today but the old Vineyard worship & Maranatha etc. Oh, how it brings His Presence so I can worship Him from a pure heart of love. Oh, yes the Hymns bring His Presence as well. Praise the Lord.
Thanking the Lord that He loves me enough to not allow a religious spirit to take hold. I do thank Him that my heart is tender enough to ask Him about the things I have heard and do so long for Truth, His Truth. We have to stay alert it is a wicked and deadly spirit the spirit of religion or self-righteousness.
For a year I have been privileged to enjoy Church with Pastor Conlon online every Sunday morning from TSC and I tell you this man has the true heart of God and he is practicing it, preaching it and living it etc. God had to raise up a mighty man unto Himself to take David Wilkerson's place and for NYC. And God didn't let us down.
Just praising and thanking God for this message by Pastor C. Conlon this mighty man of God and for who God is, for what He has done and going to do in my heart in our hearts to keep us on the straight and narrow path.
People are praying for brokenness. I say all one has to do for a brokenness is to ask God to show them the depravity of our sin. That will break us and keep us broken & humble and at the Cross with a deep gratitude and love for a loving Savior, with a deep thankfulness, gratitude, with a deep heart of willing submission and obedience because of what He did for the sinner...for me - for us - for the lost.
Oh that we would know the depths of His great love for us that draws us to adore our Savior, the Savior of the world, the lover of our souls. Knowing our sinful nature and knowing the hand that reaches down with such deep love for us and takes hold of that hand and embraces us then says, "I LOVE YOU! GO AND SIN NO MORE!" All glory to God for the Creator of the whole universe who embraceses the ones who come to Him just as we are, no matter what deep, dark sin or religious spirit etc. we may have, with open arms He embraces each one. How could we not love, worship, obey, submit with a joyful heart one so loving, so forgiving as a Savior like this.
Praising God for the broken, humble, powerful brothers and sisters the Lord is raising up. It is such a humbling honor to be able to hear God's heart from them.
Praying we will all have ears to hear and a heart to receive Truth no matter what it is and to be tender not hardened to think our way is the right and only way but to ask the Holy Spirit to teach us and keep us broken & humble before Him.
In Jesus powerful Name I bind the spirit of religion amongst us and release a hunger and thirst for Your Truth Lord. Your Truth only Lord. Open our eyes Lord, open our hearts. I prayed this before I was saved, Sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit and I still pray it today. Your Truth Lord. He is faithful to answer when we ask.
Hallelujah and glory to God Almighty, Creator of the universe and the lover of souls.
Much love & prayers to all who dont know Him yet, who are confused, who are wanting to come back etc. Much love to those whose hearts are humble & broken & to the ones with a religious spirit. God loves us all. And yes, of course He hates sin with a passion - He loves the sinner and is working to bring as many to Himself. Praise His Holy Name.
My testimony,
Sheri
