Let her be veiled

Amen to Mikes beautiful exposition on the veil, he puts himself with the holy men of old and earnestly contends for the faith once delivered unto the saints. As we look at christendom today with a higher divorce rate than the world and many other accepptables that where condemned only a centry ago, can we believe that we have more light now than they did? When we read of a doctrine that is no longer practiced in modern evangelicalism I belive we need to ask ourselves, "where did it originate? Is it Apostolic? Or is it Pagan or Roman Catholic? (Same thing if you study the history of Roman Catholicism) John Wesly, that anointed saint, also has a beautiful word on this subject in his commentary. One more thing, the veil is a religious symbol and looking at the context we see that it says nothing about a man wearing something for protection but rather he is forbidden to were a religious covering thus dishonering his head, which is Christ. A hard hat and a veil have nothing in common. weser
