Contemporary church vs. liberal church

What do you think the difference is between these two?

I have listed just a few that I thought of off the top of my head but I don't know how correct I am in them.

I raise this because the church I am attending is definatelyl a contemporary church. It is very opposite of a fundamental church in everything it does. My wife and I have been talking about it. I think it concerns me more than she because she. I may end up sending an email to the pastor about a few things to see what he says.

Having said this below are a few thoughts I came up with about these 2 types of church and how they might differ. Do you have anything to add or to change? What are your thoughts about them?
Give me some bullet points.

Here is what I think.
Contemporary church
1). Allows a person to come dressed casually.
2). Usually a variety or translations in order to reach people.
3). Bascially believes the tenets of the faith but sometime the gospel can be obscured a bit.
4). Doesn't sing traditional hymns but more modern stuff complete with drums, guitar and maybe a keyboard.

Liberal church
1)Isn't bound to any bible translation but does reinterpret bible passage to say what they think it really means.
2). May stray from the basic tenets of the faith or alter some of them just a bit.
3). Allows some sin in the camp in order that they might reach people.
4). Usually doesn't preach much about sin because it tends to be an esteem problem.

i would probale go as far as saying many liberal churches are not operting in the holy spirit at all

wiles contepary nomaly are , but not always some time are givern over to seducing spirits and doctrins of demons

and many fundamental churches do also operate in the spirit ,, tho iv herd of some that are just legelistic in spirit

liberal chuches have crossd the line in to apostate ,and herictcal as whole

wile contempary have not gone that far , and generaly believe in many things that conservative, and the fundamentels do

liberl christanity breaks my heart to weeping

and makes me angry and tremble literly in the spirit

on a whole i like consevative ,contempary and fundamental churches

i think liberal churches do more then alter the truth just a bit as you said in 2

they destroy the faith once delivered to the saints
and are the enemys of the cross of christ
whose end is destruction
who god is there belley
whos glory is there shame
who set there minds on eartly things

There are many "contemporary churches" that are doctrinally correct. Where they miss it is that they get caught up in programs and trying to appear hip and cool to the culture... and the focus shifts from Jesus to "look at how cool our pastor is!". They no longer depend on God to reap the harvest, they depend on themselves and their methods and programs. There becomes this preception that "we need to do these things... to help God out!"

(** let me add this disclaimer: just because a church is more "contemporary" than others does not mean it falls into this category! What is "contemporary" to one believer may not be to another... what I am talking about are the contemporary "seeker-sensitive" program driven Rick Warren type of churches. **)

The liberal church has strayed from the gospel and no longer teaches sound doctrine. Where the contemporary church's methods are man-centered, the liberal church's doctrine is man-centered. Jesus diety is called into question, and salvation is generally of a universalism bent. The ironic thing is that many liberal churches are liturgical and formal... not contemporary.

The problem with both is they both, in different ways, are saying: Jesus is not enough.
