8 year old Charly.

O
oldandgrey Nov 4, 2011

8 year old Charly, is dying from Neuroblastoma. Her parents and brother are at her bedside holding her hand. This little girl has witnessed for her Lord throughout her 2 year illness and has been instrumental in bringing sinners to the throne of grace. Her faith is inspiring.
Charly is suffering breakthrough pain. Her family are torn and distraught. Please pray as the Lord leads you.
Thank you

Psalm 56 v 8
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

OH God Bless this child! And if it would bring Thee the most Glory oh LORD: please SPARE HER LIFE.

I lost my little boy not many months hence; he would have been 3 years old in August... I know what this is... I know, and I am praying.

Sincerely,
Doug

This has to be one of the most hard and hurtful things to go though in life. My heart breaks for you both and my prayers for you both. Praying His arms of love around both.

Any word on Charly?

O
oldandgrey Nov 8, 2011

Her Mother gave the following message to us

"At around 1am this morning I whispered something to Charly about it being okay if she was scared. She summoned all of her strength to reach up and cup my chin in her hand and whisper "I am not a scaredy cat". She dropped her hand into her daddies and squeezed his thumb. Through our tears we told her how much we loved her, the way we have done for as long as I can remember "I love you to the moon and back, infinity times" and eyes closed Charly mumbled in reply, as she always has done; "love you to the door and back..... infinity times.... same distance". Then she tugged on Jacks arm, pulling him in close and slowly drifted back to an uneasy sleep. We are stunned that she was able to muster so much strength but are so thankful and honoured that she did.

She has not opened her eyes or responded to us since, her grip on our hands finally relaxed around 7am and shortly after her breathing became far more shallow and infrequent, it is accompanied by terminal congestion commonly known as the "death rattle". It's not going to be long now, please just pray for comfort and a peaceful passing.
We are praying for her to let go, to be out of pain, but with all my heart I am dreading that last breath"

A follow up message was received at 1.08 am CET which just said " She's gone"

Those who knew this little girl are heart broken and take consolation in the fact that we are not told not to sorrow, but to not sorrow as those who have no hope.

The family of Charly need your prayers to help with their grief.

Charles

Thank you Charles, for letting us know our little sister is in the arms of Jesus now.

My heart is filled with deep respect for Charly, as well for her parents.
Reading about the way she was dealing with her suffering and pain, her life was, and will be, an example to me.
I am so touched by it all, tears are overflowing.
Praying the Lord to comfort her parents now, He is the GREAT COMFORTER, the only One who can understand such deep pain and grief. And who is able to give His peace in their hearts.
Amen to Psalm 56:8 - Yes all tears are in His bottle and in His book.-

Shalom,
browny.

There will be many bottles filled with tears....Thank you Jesus, for those precious last moments that the parents can cherish in their hearts....I have often thought that losing a believing child to death HAD to be easier than losing a prodigal child to the world - now I am not so sure....but whatever path the Lord calls us to, we can be sure that His ways are past finding out....

Pls give love and hugs to the family...will be praying for them as they move forward into unknown territory....

Dear Charles,

Please convey my heart, and my deepest sympathy and sincere regards to the family. Please thank them for sharing little Charly with us; some of her story with us... She was a PRECIOUS child, was she not?

Surely - just as Charly was borne up to Glory on angel's wings, so you are being lifted up by the prayers of God's people all around the world. Know that many are praying for you now.

I wrote the following after my own bereavement. All who come to see my son's grave read this:

A Brief Time Our Lives He Blest
A Sweet Little Boy We Loved;
In the Saviour's Bosom Rests
Happy Forever With God.

I trust precious Charly now abides there too.

God give you peace, and hasten the Day of our reunion with our children. Amen.

In the Love of Christ,
Doug

May the Lord, may His very Spirit, reach down right now and grab a hold of your sons. May He gently, but firmly push their hearts back towards Himself. May He show them their great Spiritual NEED this very hour.

Bless your heart ma'am.

God be with you!
Doug

Dear mama27
I just wanted to encourage you. I was raised by Christian parents and when I was a teenager I went into the world. I got into many really bad things, and got myself into one big mess. Satan had a tight grip on me in many ways.
My mother used to quote scripture to me whenever the opportunity arose, to which I responded badly, I used to yell at her to stop preaching at me and say I just didn’t want to her it. I am ashamed to say that I used to mock at Christians. Well my Mum and Dad never gave up on me and they prayed for me everyday for quite few years. Anyway to cut a long story short I gave my life to the lord around 6 years ago. The Lord has given me a new heart, and changed my whole life around, and my world view. Unfortunately sin bears consequences and I have to live with those consequences today, but I can rejoice because my heavenly father directs my path and guides my steps, and even when I get it totally wrong and make silly mistakes the Lord shows me a way out. So be encouraged and pray for your sons (im sure you already are).

My sister and brother also went into the world and they too have given their lives to the Lord now.

God is so good and merciful

Blessings to you

I don't want to take from the prayers for Charly...

Bless you, Doug, and Keepstanding....it is an incredibly difficult thing to watch and to bear....I don't quote Scripture anymore....I just pray. I am curious how many years it took for you and your siblings to come back to the Lord, Keepstanding ? Thank you for your prayers - I know it will and can be only God in their lives. Maybe had they not strayed, I would have taken some of the credit :(

She is not dead, but sleepeth...

Also your little boy, Doug.
