walking alone in the desert i grew weary with thirst
my heart longing and searching to find just something of worth
how did i get here and why again i start to ask
the former joys and pleasure appear as a facade and a mask
the desolate landscape now mocking me with fear and doubt
thunder rolling in the distance but the land remaining in drought
and so i walked onward through this barren wasteland
with no one to talk to or to lend a helping hand
and as i began to ponder on upon these things
i was reminded of the faithfulness of my King
that even though this place is cold and relentless
i realized…
i had all but forgotten that there are wildflowers to be seen in the wilderness
