How awesome.

This marvelous event was mentioned on our IDOP call yesterday. Believers in Egypt believe this coukd be the start of a move of God.

Dear God just as you called you Son out of Egypt, may you call many sons and daughters out of Egypt.

Yes it is, dear brother, but it sad that it had to take a masacre when the army fired on and killed a bunch of Coptic Christians for an event like this to take place.

I guess man's nature never change. It sound like reading the history of the children of Israel all over again.

Plesase join in prayer with them that God would bring a revival to this nation.

Must be a big cave :-)

Hello murrcolr,

Many ancient churches or monasteries in Egypt are built in caves, and are isolated, built at a time when the Christian religion was outlawed within the Roman empire in the first century.

Perhaps this picture would give you an idea.

I went back and looked at the photos of this marvelous event in the cave out of Cairo. One intriguing thing stood out. Very few of the Coptic sisters were wearing the head covering. It seems their sole purpose was to worship Jesus.

One report said that Egypt had not seen a orayer event like this in over a thousand years. Could it be our brothers and sister in Egypt are focussed on more important things.......like prayer.

And one must wonder why we do not see revival in America???????

Blaine, you must despise those of us who believe one should be obedient to ICorinthians 11...as hard as you fight this obedience. It sure would be nice to hear some love from you towards us sisters who believe this.

I grieve deeply...

God is still on the throne, do not forget that...

Ginny I make an observation of Egyptian brothers and sisters who are obeying God. They are obeying God by praying for a gospel move in their country. The fact that 70,000 believers came together to pray is very note worthy and the prayer went for 24 hours. We consider it a miracle if we can get two or three believers to pray in our American churches and that for an hour.

You seem to percieve that I am the enemy here. I simply call attention to the fact that brothers and sisters around the world are doing something we are not doing. They are praying. We believers in America are not praying. At least we have not reached the point of desparation to call out to God in prayer.

Ginny if in your heart you obey God by wearing the head covering to pray. Amen. But sister the more important thing is to pray. For without prayer we wlill never see a gospel move of Christ in America.

The greatest sin in the American church is prayerlessness. For sure if this sin continues Egypt and Iran will see revival and we never will. Woe to us if we do not repent of our lack of prayer. God please stir up a faithful few to pray.

Sister for the record I do love you in Jesus with or without the headcovering. More importantly Jesus loves you. Now let us pray for a move of God's Spirit in America. Let us pray for a move of the gospel. For the hour grows dark and God is wondering why saints in America are not calling out to him for a gospel move of Christ.
