Praise Report!!! Revival has come to my family!!!

J
Joyful_Heart Nov 26, 2011

Giving all glory to God for He is worthy of all praises.

I had asked for prayer for a family member and some of you prayed. Here is the Praise report.

Si, 14 yrs. old. had gotten in trouble and was in detention. He was very rebellious. Due to being in the Bible belt there were books and Bibles and Pastors allowed to go in.

Si, who hated Jesus, said He didnt exist, wrote on my fb wall,"Jesus isnt real" called me every name under the sun, couldnt be around me etc. found Jesus through those books, the Pastor, Bible and most of all prayer while in detention.

He called his mother a few months ago and said, "Mom, I know Jesus is real". God reveled Himself to Si, opened his eyes and heart like we were praying. Hallelujah!

And praise God Si was away when God revealed Himself to him as no one can say it was I that pushed him etc. but it was the Holy Spirit who did it all no man can glory in the flesh but God is getting all the glory!

Court date came up and I prayed he would stay in 20 more days due to doing a work book Bible study that Pastor Brian gave me to send to him. One that Brian had used when he came to Jesus. And sure enough. He got 20 more days of detention. It was a nice place and a time for Si to grow in the Lord more than if at home.

During that time I would send Si a card every other day along with a couple of tracts each time. I found out he shared them with the other kids and with the staff and they all liked them and said thank you. Si doesn't know the word Evangelist!

In Si's letters to me, it would make your eyes wet, he says how much he loves me and signs it, Si, your brother. I had told him that we are now brothers and sisters in the Lord. PTL.

He wrote letters while there. He wrote to his Mom & grandpa saying he wanted to respect them more. And he wrote to his buddies saying he could no longer hang around them and was not going to do the wrong things with them any longer. No one told him to do this.

He came home last Thurs. I was off to a revival meeting for the week and his first words to his Mother was, "where is grandma? I was supposed to go to Church with her!" I came and got him for Sat. youth night. I turned to his younger brother and asked him if he wanted to go and he said yes, Sol is 11 yrs. old. It is an hour one half one way.

On the way home we listened to my one cd contemporary Christian music with awesome words, talked about Jesus and then Si said he wanted a sweatshirt like mine. Black hoodie with a red cross and the words Christianity is illegal in 53 Countries I had gotten at the VOM conference. Of course I gave him mine.

He and his younger brother was invited to the local Church that night after sharing that they went to Church that morning.

And tomorrow, Sunday, Si has invited one of the boys to go with us to Church, one he was getting in trouble with in the past and his little brother and I invited his little brother. So, I am taking 2 pre-teens and 2 teenagers to Church tomorrow. And we get 3 hours of total driving time to talk about Jesus. All glory and praises to Him.

Si immediately liked Brian, the pastor and the congregation was so friendly and welcoming to him.

My part of course is prayer. But then the Holy Spirit is showing me what to do when and where. He has told me not to go into my family pointing the finger, being a know it all, judging, condemning, etc. But to go in with a soft answer, dont be offended, love is not offended, walk gently with all the love of Jesus.

And it is the most awesome thing I have ever seen. I am standing out of the way of the Holy Spirit and He is doing all the work. I am praying and obeying and being sensitive to Him. It is so much fun watching God be God. And He showed me it can only take place like this when I get out of the way. So many times I have tried to be the Holy Spirit in my families lives and it only brings hard feelings. So all praise to Him He has brought me to a place where I can have peace, joy, trust and watch Him do the work. It is addicting actually to get out of the way and watch Him work.

Revival has come to my family!

More family members are on their way here. We know the Lord is mightily at work there as well. And God is getting all the praise and glory.

The Lord used the VOM conference here to get me here. I had said when in Reno, Your will be done Lord on where You wanted me, even if it was Oklahoma! I didnt think He would send me back here as He knows it is not my favorite place. I am a mountain gal and this is flatland. grin. So, the first day I was here I wanted to go to Colorado! The second day He revealed to me that I was here for my family and it was such a strong revelation I just said, Ok Lord.

His grace is sufficient and I am very content and in fact thrilled to be here where I am in His perfect will and to watch Him work so beautifully.

After attending the VOM conference I felt the Holy Spirit said I would be using the persecuted Church as my teachers, their testimonies and He would use them to reach others for Christ. And on T.G. night the H.S. used the persecuted Church with my son-in-law who is in a denomination I dont care for.

The persecuted Church is not interested in theology, they are pure Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Anyway, it came that my son-in-law wants me to put him and the family, my daughter & their 8 children, on the mailing list to receive the VOM mag. so they can share it with the kids etc. I could not have shared anything else of my beliefs with him now or in the past. Denominations come down when facing persecution the way our brothers and sisters are in those 52 Nations.Anyway, the Lord was correct. He is using them to open many doors to share the Gospel.

Once again, I am enjoying the Lord so much as I pray, obey and get out of His way and let Him orchestrate and reveal Himself to my family and others. I thank Him He has given me peace that passes all understanding and joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Please continue to pray for my family and know your families are in my prayers as well.

He is worthy to be obeyed, believed, worshiped, adored and lifted up. He will draw all men unto Himself.

Loving Him & abiding in Him, loving & praying with you all.

Wow, double WOW.

What a super duper testimony, I like it when you kept saying that I got out of the way and let the Holy Ghost do what He can only do. And the part about the Holy Spirit showing you to just love these people and not judge and point the finger. Nurturing softly so they don't become discouraged, thank God for sensitive hearts such as yours. Yes, lets pray for one another. It's God's work, God's glory and just watching God work is our glory because He is just awesome to watch.

Dear Sister,
Blessed be God for this AWESOME testimony!
Halleluyah, for the Lord our God, the Almighty reigns!!!

I have heard the revival of the 60s and 70s may have been driven by the desperate prayers of millions of faithful praying grandmas!

May your grandson's testimony be the beginning of multitudes of young men and women coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God! Amen.

Amen dyingtolive! Amen and Hallelujah!

My faith is increased as the Lord does the work in me at the same time working on others.

It is by our love they will know we are Christians. Christ's love is not condoning sin at at all but coming back with a soft answer, turning the other cheek, loving those who persecute us and say all sorts of mean things to us and about us.

A very hard thing to do and pretty much impossible without the Holy Spirit's working in us. In time in His Presence, alone with Him. Quiet before Him in His Word. Getting filled up with Him. Then He can do these things through us. And then we know for certain it is Him and not us then He gets all the glory and honor!

But once we see the Holy Spirit work as we get out of His way it is addicting. It makes me strive to stay close to Him so I dont hinder His work. So I can hear Him tell me, dont say a thing, or it's time to leave, time to say this or not. And watch Him work is a most beautiful thing. In others and in me.

Of course I dont have it down perfectly at all. My nature wants to say this and that. It wants to tell all I know so they will become saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit. All good things but if it is not His timing I can really mess things up.

Jesus is my number one example. We are followers of Him. He is our example. The persecuted are my teachers also. How can the one persecuting come to know Christ if the man being persecuted is cursing his persecutor? He wont. But by the love of the one being persecuted many, many have had hearts melted and have surrendered to Christ and at times this will lead to their family members and at times a whole village will come to know Jesus as Savior! All glory to God.

So with this the Holy Spirit is having me concentrate on Jesus as my example and continue in prayer and fasting and in the Word and to be filled up with Him as to be able to turn the other cheek, come back with a soft answer when getting yelled at or falsely accused. Praise God I have a place where I can be alone with Him and spend more time with Him than with people. I dont think I could do it without that precious time with my mind and heart on Him - alone with Him.

So, we are addicted to Him, to God's working in us in others. The battle is the Lord's and we will not trust in horses and chariots but we will trust in the Name of the Lord our God!

I would suggest to see here on this forum more testimonies of victories, more testimonies of what God is doing in our lives, in those around us & more of what Scriptures the Holy Spirit spoke to us during our time with Him than all the trivial debating. Kind of think it would please the Lord too that He is being lifted up and others would be more edified. Just a thought.

God's love to all. He will finish the good work He began in us. Especially when we get out of the way and believe, obey & trust Him.

AMEN, Joyful Heart

Thank-you for the beautiful testimony.
I relate to everything you are saying about staying out of the Holy Spirits way and how it is addicting.
I wanted to and did share a beautiful testimony of the Holy Spirit cont. work in our family but accidentally hit cancel, such a bummer.
I'll try to post again but it won't be as good for I was so caught up in the Spirit after a long day away from home but will try.
It was long. On solar and today was a high juice use day, ha. A positive thing about going through the change is insomnia. Our God is a Prayer loving Prayer anwering God. John R. Rice , I believe. Time to pray God's love, sister -k-

Going through what I am going through I have so very encouraged by your testimony, Christ can do all things! We just have to give Him time and space to do so. My heart is at times filled with peace and and surrender and then when I feel discouraged the thoughts of doubt creep in. I was broken this morning and the Lord revealed Himself to me in even more wonderful light. I found its much easier to call yourself a Christian, it's a whole other ballgame when it comes to living like one totally dependant on Christ Jesus.

Sheri,

Thank you so much for sharing this encouraging testimony
With us. Many of us have unsaved loved ones, and through
Prayer and intercession God can do what we can't do and
Change the hardest heart. Nothing is impossible to God and
To those that believe.
