Brothers,
It is such shame upon our Lord Christ’s face, that the Mohamedians "seem" to care more for outward righteousness than the great mass of professing western Christians do today. Alas, and for shame...
I am reminded how our western Churches once proclaimed with one voice that Islam was the “Second Woe” of the Book of Revelation, allowed by God to punish the idolatrous Christian churches of that time. And if the old Protestant view has any merit, it would seem that Islam is coming back for us today...
But what can be done?
Dear Christian; you who understand that you are saved by faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ: Stop professing a supposed “liberty” to do as you please, for with regard to the commandments of Christ and His apostles in the New Testament, we bond-servants have none.
Dear Christian: Take the boast out of the Mohamedian’s mouth! Be not only righteous within, but also righteous without. If Jesus has wrought an amazing transformation inside, LET MEN SEE IT. Care not for what other Christians may do or say because you are “different.” Only, look to Jesus alone, and in righteousness, make intercession for the land. Be a light in the darkness.
Let Christ have the full measure of the Reward of His Suffering lived out in you, in all of your "conversation" or life. His Love for us, demands that we give our all in the struggle ahead...
"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot..." I Peter 1:13-19
Let’s pray for each other in this spiritual battle, for we can do nothing against the kingdom of the devil, without the annointed grace of our Lord Jesus Christ upon us.
A fellow soldier in Christ Jesus,
Doug
