Islamists are dominating Egypt's elections and some of them have a new message for tourists: welcome, but no booze, bikinis or mixed bathing at beaches, please.
That vision of turning Egypt into a sin-free vacation spot could spell doom for a key pillar of the economy that has already been badly battered by this year's political unrest.
I think some fundamental Christians would be happy with this.

It is such shame upon our Lord Christ’s face, that the Mohamedians "seem" to care more for outward righteousness than the great mass of professing western Christians do today. Alas, and for shame...
I am reminded how our western Churches once proclaimed with one voice that Islam was the “Second Woe” of the Book of Revelation, allowed by God to punish the idolatrous Christian churches of that time. And if the old Protestant view has any merit, it would seem that Islam is coming back for us today...
But what can be done?

Dear Christian: Take the boast out of the Mohamedian’s mouth! Be not only righteous within, but also righteous without. If Jesus has wrought an amazing transformation inside, LET MEN SEE IT. Care not for what other Christians may do or say because you are “different.” Only, look to Jesus alone, and in righteousness, make intercession for the land. Be a light in the darkness.
Let Christ have the full measure of the Reward of His Suffering lived out in you, in all of your "conversation" or life. His Love for us, demands that we give our all in the struggle ahead...

Saints does anyone understand what Islamic Sharia law is? In its simplistic form it is legistic observance of the Koran in all area of a Moslem's life. The most extreme form of Sharia's observance are found in Sudan or Saudi Arabia. Sharia is used to dress the women in dress from head to toe. In extreme cases such as Afghanistan women could not venture outside of the home without a male family escort. Under the Talibhan women were locked in their homes with windows blacked out. In extreme cases women and children died because they coukd not get food. Women were denied the right to an education under Talibhan Sharia. To get an education was death. Imagine coming to Christ.
This is the sane Sharia that is putting to death thousands of Christians in restrictive Islamic nations. For Sharia says 'kill the nonbeliever unlesst he embrace Mohammed'.
I see nothing virtuous in what Egypt is doing. The goal of the Moslem Brotherhood is to turn Egypt and all of N. Africa into an Islamic caliphate. That caliphate to be ruled by Sharia.
This does not bode well for the followers of Christ. For I see that the sands of the Sahara will run red with the blood of Christian saints. Let us remember that it was religion that put Jesus to death. And Sharia is religion of the worst kind.

Amen. Sharia is sham-righteousness.
However, if God has made one truly righteous on the inside, the true Christian will truly seek to please Christ in every way on the outside.
Let's not get distracted then by what men do or don't do. For many stumble for this very reason: because they take their eyes off of Christ and his apostles, and begin comparing themselves with others.
Rather than make this mistake, let us instead LOOK to Christ and his apostles, and DO what they did. Paul said:
"Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ. I Corinthians." 11:1
Let us follow the path of the apostles, for though they trode a narrow way, they assured us it was worth it.

Brother I am in agreement with you. The righteousness of the believer is Christ working out through us the fruit of the Spirit and so forth. What I was calling attention on the forum were the dangers of Islamic sharia and the percieved commendable virtues it promoted.
One may travel to Egypt and commend the alcohol free hotels and segregated beach areas and dress codes. But unless one sees the demonic dynamic behind this system one can be hood winked. This same Sharia that promotes the above virtues (I say that tongue in cheek) also calls for the killing if the infidel. Translation Christians and Jews. Make no mistake Moslems hate Christians. Their own holy book says convert them or kill them. This is the danger of Islamic Sharia.
Let me be clear. The Moslem must be reached with the love of Christ. But let us not pretend their moral virtues are the same as a Christian who is governed by the Holy Spirit.

And here in lies the many problems. When men create their own standards and then judge others according to what they consider to be decent. That is why I love the freedom that is found in Christ. That freedom is the exact opposite of sharia or the " moral police," that they have in Iran and other countries............. brother Frank

Are you really asking me heart-felt questions dear Sister? What do you mean by asking me questions, but then saying you are “just giving your two cents?” Were you just making statements in the form of questions in order to merely “address” what I had previously said?; questions that you therefore really don’t care to see answered?
While I am not ashamed of our ancient and glorious faith, I would like to know that you actually want to know what I would tell you if I were to try to give you some answers from the Holy Scriptures to your questions.
For instance, if one were to prove to you from the words of the New Testament itself that women are supposed to wear long flowing robes, (in addition to “giving and loving others” as you say), would you believe? Or would you instead “react”? In other words, do you sincerely before God even want me to answer your questions?
If God permits, I will do my best if you do.

I am sorry for the confusion I caused. I had only amen'ed a specific quote from Brother Frank's post, which I had referenced in mine.
Your original post was a response to what I had written. In it, you seemed to be asking me questions as though you wanted to discuss the various issues you raised and therefore wanted actual answers from me. However, at the end you said you were only putting in your two cents because you thought my statements needed addressing in front of the 60+ guests who were then online.
This struck me as odd; like you thought your questions were really self-evident rhetorical statements that couldn't even be answered.
In my response to yours, I was not trying to give you a hard time. Rather, I was asking you if we have true "communion" in our communication with one another. There are answers for all of your questions, but after reading your post, I wasn't sure you even wanted to hear them.
In any case, I'll just let this lie.
