Hello again, Friends. I went so long without talking and now, suddenly, I have alot of silly things to say.Last night I had a very disturbing dream. I awoke from the dream very upset. I was committing an old sin in the dream and when I awoke, I felt positively awful. I got out of bed and began to pray and tell the Lord how much I never want that to happen and how sorry I was that such a thing would awaken in my heart and God began to comfort me with these words:"There is a wickedness in the human heart and it can never be trusted. I alone can separate the holy from the profane. You can never cleanse yourself. I alone can keep you for my purposes, to glorify myself through you.The utensils in the temple were not special because they were different from other vessels. Many earthly kings have all sorts of things made from precious metals, valuable things. What made the temple utensits holy was that they were set apart for God's use. If it were not for that, they would have just been ordinary. The thing that makes a holy thing holy is---it's been consecrated to God---that's all. The wickedness of your heart may pass around like pictures in a kaleidescope, but that's unimportant because it's God alone who is holding up your holy life. You can't be holy apart from me. I have declared you holy, and as long as you present yourself to me as a living sacrifice, I'll keep you holy."I tell you, these words from God were amazing to me. I felt so awful about what was coming up in my heart, and by no control of my own. At first, I was really scared that I might return to my sin, but something clicked in me when God spoke. I realized that I am not "keeping" myself, but God will keep me as I submit myself to him. I never want to return to that old way of life. I'd rather be dead. But, I mustn't live in fear of myself. Are there some folks out there who are afraid of themselves? This is an awful feeling. I thank God that he is giving me a revelation about true holiness, and that I don't have to feel bad about my yucky heart 'cause everybody's got one, not just me, right? Love, Dian.
