accountability

Are Christians accountable for the practices of their local assembly even though they are not believed? Example: An assembly prohibits known believers, sound in faith and practice, from participating in the Lords Supper if they have not been received into that assembly or a "like kind" assembly in anotgher location. If I attended there is it right that I submit and be accountable to the oversight even though I can find no Biblical evidence for such practice?

Hi,

This is a great question and topic. I would first recommend you read this free ebook. It has helped me much on this subject of submission to local church authority:

Touching Godliness Through Submission by K.P. Yohannan.
